Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Gurudongmar Lake

  Situated at a height of 17,800 feet, it is considered one the most sacred lakes by the Buddhists and Hindus alike. The beautiful and awe inspiring lake (190 kms from Gangtok) remains milky in colour throughout the year. • Day 2 : Yumthang

  It is situated at an altitude of about 11,800 ft. And is 149 Kms. from Gangtok. It is covered with rhododendron shrubs and trees of various species. The valley is well known for its hot springs which is slightly saline in taste, it is colorless, emits bubbles of sulphurated hydrogen gas and the temperature of 106 degree. It is surrounded by mountains and seems to touch the heaven.

• Day 3 : Chungthang

  Chungthang is a small town on the confluence of the two major rivers of North Sikkim Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu (Chu stands for river). The Lachen stream from west and Lachung stream from east meets here to form Tista which is the most important river in Sikkim.
• Day 4 : Lachung

  The word Lachung means "small pass". The town is approximately 125 km from the capital Gangtok.It falls under the North Sikkim and is not very far from the China border. It is at an altitude of about 3,000 metres above sea level and is located at the confluence of River Lachen and River Lachung, which are the tributaries of the Teesta River.
• Day 5 : Lachen

  Lachen meaning the ‘big pass’ is situated at an altitude of 2750 mtrs. and about 6 hrs. drive from Gangtok. The Lachen Monastery Located on top of the village commands a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and country side. Resorts, hotels and lodges are available for accommodation.
• Day 6 : Singhik

  The place offers one of the most spectacular and closest views of Mt. Khangchendzonga and its ranges. A well located Tourist Lodge provides accommodation for visitors. The area also has a number of interesting short nature trails for 1 to 3 days along the higher ridges of the higher ridges of the surrounding hills. One can also savour the most graceful peak in the world, Mt. Siniolchu
