Meet at Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado, leave the airport on a thirty minutes drive to Quality Hotel for your overnight stay. Welcome dinner at a restaurant.
After breakfast, transfer to Kotamobagu for Mount Ambang Reserve. The climb to Mount Ambang takes approximate 4 hours (2 hours up & almost 2 hours down). Overnight accommodation is at a homestay with basic facilities.
In the morning, leave for Tomohon with a brief stop at the Hill of Love volcano. At Tomohon, check in at the Lokon Boutique Hotel for your overnight accommodation and at your own leisure.
Start the trek to Mt. Empung (1,325m) via Kinilow village. From Mt. Empung, trek across to Mt. Lokon (1,579 m) to get to the Tompaluan Crater (1,100 m). Mt. Lokon is an active volcano. The last eruption was in November 1991. After lunch, head to Lake Linow, a sulfuric lake with a beautiful scenery for a rest. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Drive for 45 minutes to Toure village, the starting point for trekking up to Soputan Volcano (1,809 m). Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight at Lokon Boutique Hotel.
On the way to Tangkoko, stop at Tondano lake to explore the biggest lake in North Sulawesi. After lunch, head to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. Overnight at a homestay with basic facilities.
Explore the endemic flora and fauna of North Sulawesi at the Tangkoko Batuangas Nature Reserve. Search for the Black Crested Macaque (Black Monkey indigenous to North Sulawesi) and the Tarsier Spectrum (the world’s smallest primate). Overnight at a homestay.
Go on an early morning walk to explore the reserve. Leave for Manado in the late morning. From Manado, take a 45 minutes boat ride (depending on sea conditions) to Bunaken island for your overnight stay. Overnight at Bastianos Dive Resort.
Take a 20 minutes boat ride from Bunaken Island to Manado Tua Island. Manado Tua as in the local language mean “Old Manado” is a dormant volcano. Start trekking to the peak at 850 m. Return to Bunaken Island in the afternoon. Free at your own time. Overnight at Bastianos Dive Resort.
