The Adventures Beyond 10 Day Adelaide to Perth Wildlife Adventure is a once in a life time trip. Cross the Nullarbor plain and experience some of the worlds best wildlife encounters including diving with Great White sharks (own expense) Swim with Sea Lions, Swim with Bluefin Tuna and more.
Head across the Great Australian Bight from South Australia to Western Australia, visit the Southern Flinders Ranges, Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, Esperance, Cape Le Grand, Albany, Denmark, Margaret River, Busselton and beyond.
This trip is a highlight on any Australian holiday so if you are thinking of travelling between Adelaide and Perth - do not fly over all the fun, jump on board our 10 day wildlife adventure tour between Adelaide and Perth.
Day 1 : Flinders Ranges, Aboriginal Culture and More
Departing Adelaide at around 7am we head straight for Clare Valley before heading into the oldest mountain range in the world, the Flinders Ranges. We head into Alligator Gorge for an amazing scenic bushwalk before enjoying lunch at this amazing place. After lunch we head to Warren Gorge, stopping in Quorn, the home of the Pichi Richi railway which has significant historic significance in this part of Australia. We enjoy the sunset and evening meal at Warren Gorge in the Flinders Ranges where you get the opportunity to see Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby and a night around the campfire.
Day 2 : Eyre Peninsula, Sand Boarding and More
Day 2 we start with a nice walk and amazing views at Dutchmans Stern Conservation Park. Gaze west as you see part of the journey to Perth ahead of you, an experience away from the general travellers into the untouched area of the Eyre Peninsula. This region is one of Australia's great secrets, there is amazing wildlife, adventure experiences and more. We head through to Pt August, Iron Knob and onto Kimba for lunch, before a sand board adventure (like surfing on sand) that will get the adrenalin pumping. In the afternoon we arrive at Coodlie Park, where our mates Hassie and Jo live where we get to stay on their working farm surrounded by wildlife!
Day 3 : Swim with Sea Lions / Dolphins and Learn to Surf
Today we enjoy a day on the Eyre Peninsula with wildlife, adventure and more. We set off in the morning for a wildlife encounter, Swimming / snorkelling with Dolphins and Sea Lions. This is one of the major trip highlights, being up close and personal with the wildlife like this is truly amazing. In the afternoon we head to a remote surf beach for a Learn to Surf Lesson. With good soft surfboards, wetsuits and tuition learn to surf the waves of the Eyre Peninsula. After an action packed day we sit around the campfire, share our stories and relax.
Day 4 : The Nullarbor, Wildlife and Bunda Cliffs
Day 4 we head further west across the Nullarbor Plain. Driving the Great Australian Bight we are heading some of the most remote country on earth. We cross the Dingo fence, pass through an Aboriginal community and stop for the famous photo in front of the Wombat, Camel and Kangaroo Road Sign. We stop to take in the staggering drop of the Bunda cliffs where Australia suddenly drops into the ocean and if travelling between June and September we almost always see the Southern Wright Whales and their calves. After lunch we head west across the Nullarbor Plain and at night you will see the most amazing sky anywhere on the planet, the stars are breathtaking.
Day 5 : Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grande and the Blow Hole
Day 5 we set for a big day driving accross the Nullarbor Plain, taking in the Caiguna Blow Hole and the story of Skylab at Balladonia before our next overnight camp. Esperance will seem like a huge place after being out in the remote outback for 5 days and the magnificant surrounds of the granite, bush and beach are beautiful. Tonight we camp at Cape Le Grande, we have limited ammenities and no electricity, we are in the outback! Be aware we have no mobile phone reception in many of these outback areas.
Day 6 : Cape Le Grande, Bush Walks and More
Today we are set to see some of Australia;s most beautiful scenery. This part of Western Australia has 9 National Parks and Cape Le Grande is the most scenic of all. There are stunning blue seas and powder white sand beaches. There are secluded bays for swims and this is a nature lovers paradise. We take a bushwalk in the afternoon on Frenchman Peak for amazing views of bays, islands and more. We have a full day here where you can choose to go on hikes, swim or relax at the beach. You may even encounter a kangaroo on the beach! We spend the night int he National Park.
Day 7 : Sterling Ranges, South West Wa and Beyond
Day 7 we head for the Stirling Ranges to explore the South West of Australia. Leaving Lucky Bay behind us, we head to the best park for that particular day (depending on the weather and the group) and take sime amazing bushwalks. We may seek out waterfalls, or wildflowers depending on the season, there is an amazing place to visit no matter what time of year. At night we camp at the Sterling Ranges with all the ammenities available. Another excellent night in the outback.
Day 8 : Sw Western Australia, Tree Top Walk and More
Today we explore what is known as Western Australia's Great Ocean Road. See the waves and coastal views, explore Albany and see the Natural Bridge and the Gap, some of the areas amazing highlights. We venture into the forests, in particular the Valley of the Giants and take a tree top walk through the canopy almost 60metres in the air. We camp near the forest, we have limited facilities and no electricity. Sleeping under the stars is still amazing!
Day 9 : Climb the Fire Tree, Margaret River and Beyond
Our second to last day, you can try and climb the Fire tree - a tree once used as a look out for bush fires. You get to experience the Margaret River area, wine, cheese, chocolate, boutique beer tasting and more. We do what we can fit in during the day and spend the day in this amazing region. Tonight we spend at the Cane Break Camp Ground which is a great night, in fact our final night in the outback. It is a great opportunity to share memories with your fellow travellers who after 10 days will have most likely become good friends.
