Day 1 : ARRIVAL MUSCAT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - HOTEL
You will arrive at the Muscat international airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the immigration. Immigration& customs are quick & simple. upon arrival at the general arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient AFAQ Travel & Tourism chauffeur who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel.Overnight at Hotel in Muscat.
Day 2 : FULL DAY MUSCAT CITY TOUR
Morning, you will be met at the hotel for a full day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Later you drive to visit Seeb fish Market. There after drive to Natural History Museum, exhibiting the wealth of Oman’s history and thus imparting knowledge about the country’s rich culture and traditions to the visitor.
Afternoon, drive to Quantab, One of the pristine beaches in Muscat. Later you drive along the picturesque Corniche to the once walled districtMuscat. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. Evening you will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items.
Day 3 : MUSCAT - WADI SHAB - WADI TIWI - SUR - RAS AL JINZ
You start your fascinating round-trip with the first leg taking you in south eastern direction along the coast to Sur. The road leads through scenic countryside and rugged mountains to the small fishing town of Quriyatandproceed tour towards Sur city our first stop iswill be at Bimah Sinkhole, a huge hole formed by erosion. Here you can take another refreshing swim in the cool clear green waters .Later on proceed towardsWadi Shab which means a “wadi between the cliffs” and enjoy a walk and trekking through the wadi as well as a refreshing swim in those pools. If you feel brave enough, go inside the cave accessible only by swimming. For those inclined, it is possible to walk right up to the source of the wadi through lush green plantations of lemon, banana and dates. The fairly easy walk on rocky path is dotted with pools and waterfalls. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Enjoy a picnic lunch is these serene surrounding. Your next stop isWadi Tiwi with its blue-green pools of water surrounded by palm trees
After an early dinner you will visit the turtle sanctuary at Ras Al Jinz, where at night the Green Turtles, after a journey of thousands of kilometers will come ashore to lay their eggs. You then return to Hotel for the overnight in Ras al Had.
Day 4 : RAS AL HADD - SUR DHOW BULDING - WADI BANI KHALID - WAHIBA SANDS
Morning after breakfast leave to Ras Al Hadd. Continue your journey to Sur. By the 6th Century, Sur was an established centre for trade with East Africa. Today the city has retained its reputation as a major Dhow building town and visit Sur Dhow Factory. Not too far away is Wadi Bani Khalid one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oases where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside.
But now the nature of the landscape will change dramatically – you reach the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. It is also host to a variety of flora and fauna and one of the largest areas of pure sand desert in the world and the traditional home of the nomadic Bedouin. Camels are a common sight moving through the sands. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. After some exciting sand dune driving which offers excellent thrills and chills for all. Evening watch spectacular sunset from top of the dunes. BBQ dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 5 : WAHIBA SANDS - MUNSIFA (OLD IBRA) - JABREEN - BAHLA - NIZWA
Leave the golden sand dunes behind you and after a stop in Ibra for a closer look at the watchtowers proudly looking over villages from the top of the hills and from here you proceed to Munsifa to walk through the remains of the old Ibra village with its clay houses. You proceed to Jabrin castle built in 17th century is one of the finest of its kind. Its magnificent plasterwork, the carved doors and the painted wooden beams of the ceilings makes this castle amazingly different. Thereafter continue to Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. As the monumental fort is closed for renovation only a photo stop is planned.
Day 6 : NIZWA FORT AND SOUQ - TANUF - AL HAMRA - BIRKAT AL MOUZ
Morning after breakfast visit the powerful Fort of Nizwa with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Souq. Visit the ruins of Old Tanuf, a relic from bombings during the JabalWar . Later visit Al Hamraand Misfahthe oldest villages & up to 400 years old mud houses are still occupied. Also visit the Al Hamra Falaj system, On the way you stop a pretty village of Birkat Al Mauz, located at the foot of Jabel Akhdar. Wonder in the old streets of abandoned houses made of mud and straw. Travel to Jebel Shams but before going up the mountain there is an interesting wadi, Wadi Nakhr, a narrow canyon. It is a stunning beautiful place, and is geologically spectacular, being one of the deepest canyons on the planet. Go deep inside to visit the village where the main activity is weaving ….. Your journey then continues to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak, 3009 m. ….. get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”.
Day 7 : NIZWA - AMOAG FACTORY - NAKHAL FORT - HOT SPRING WATER - MUSCAT
Morning after breakfast leave from Nizwa to “ Amouage” in Seeb. The journey continues to Nakhal and its 17th Century Fort built on the peak of a mountain. Nakhal Fort is one of the most spectacular forts, dramatically located at the edge of the Jebel Akhdar Mountains in northwest Oman. It is surrounded by a beautiful oasis.
There is an area with healing hot springs, the most notable being Ayn A’ Thowarah. Its waters run at 45°C and are regarded as a cure for rheumatism and skin diseases due to its sulfur content.

Day 8 : MUSCAT - DHOW CRUISE - MUSCAT
Morning after breakfast your tour gude take you to Marina Bandar where you enjoy spectacular fun Dhow cruise, coral reefs permeate, considered home to many diverse organisms and fish. The place is abuzz with divers, especially with the presence of more than 22 diving locations, each with its own charm and beauty.
The Full day boat ride is made even more pleasurable with the accompaniment of some dolphins which swim alongside the boats. Program consists of sight-seeing, swimming, kayaking and snorkeling, and a fantastic on-deck dining
(A buffet Lunch, refreshments, soft drinks and mineral water will be served on the boat).Overnight at Hotel in Muscat.
Day 9 : DEPARTURE TRANSFER
Departure transfers to Airport to connect the flight back home.
