1. Prem Mandir

Constructed in the year 2001, Prem Mandir draws in hundreds of tourists every year to witness the magnificence of its structure. This beautiful temple is a shrine dedicated to Radha and Krishna along with Sita and Ram. The first place to visit in the day trip, this great temple has been constructed entirely out of white marble and adorned with intricate carvings.
The statues found all around the temple are that of Shri Krishna and his admirers and portrayals of important events from the Lord’s life. The pillars of this temple are intricately engraved with beautiful carvings that depict the Kinkari Sakhis and Manjari Sakhis serving Shri Radha Krishna in various ways.
Prem mandir looks even more splendid in the evening when it is lit up with lamps and diyas. A grand pillar-less complex is being built next to Prem Mandir, which is expected to house almost 25,000 people at once. This temple holds a great significance to devout Krishna bhakts and architect enthusiasts alike.
Must see : The Prem Mandir musical fountain. The musical fountain, where the colored water dance to the beats of of Radha Krishna kirtans. Paired with awesome lighting displays, this event is a hit among children.
2. Shri Banke Bihari Mandir

Shri Banke Bihari Mandir is a major attraction in the holy city of Vrindavan and the one of the most popular places to visit in our one day Mathura & Vrindavan tour from Delhi. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. This beautiful temple has been done in the stunning Rajasthani style and adorned with arched windows and meticulous stonework.
The idol of Lord Krishna in this temple is that of Gopal, standing in the Tribhanga position. The temple complex is free of sounds of bells and other musical instruments as it is believed that Gopal does not like the noise. Prayers are offered through the divine chants of ‘Radha Naam’.
Make sure that you visit this temple since it is deemed as one of the holiest places of worship of Lord Krishna, and hence the Banke Bihari Temple is thronged by devotees all through the year.
Special events from the life of Lord Krishna are celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at the Banke Bihari Temple. Mangala Aarti is performed at the temple during Janmashtami, while Akshaya Tritiya is the only day when you can see the deity’s pious feet.
The deity is dressed up in a special crown and made to carry a flute. In the last five days of the Hindu month of Phalguna, the deity comes off his altar and can be seen fully. It is also around this time that he can be seen with four ‘gopis’.
Jhulan Yatra, the swing festival of Lord Krishna, is celebrated on the third day of the waxing moon, where Lord Banke Bihari is seated on a golden swing known as ‘hindola’. You may also visit this temple during Holi to celebrate this festival and play with colours.

3. Shri Krishna – Balaram Temple (ISKCON Temple)

ISKCON temple, also known as Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir was built in 1975. The main reason behind the construction of the temple was to increase awareness of the Vedic scriptures and the Bhagavad Gita.
The temple is a seat to Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Shri Krishna and Balaram and Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara along with Lalita and Vishakha. The two idols on the central slab of the temple are that of Krishna and Balarama, who were brothers and on the right are the idols of their friends.
Their left side is flanked with a statue of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with Nityananda, and of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and his spiritual coach Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura.
The evening aarti here is a sight to behold as the pujaris offer prayers with fresh flowers and perform a beautiful traditional dance with diyas. You can see devotees from all over the world here.
Must see : Celebration of Janmashtami at ISKCON are globally known and must be witnessed by all. Special prayer songs and aartis are performed during Diwali, Durga Pooja and other Hindu festivals.
Lunch at Mathura

4. Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple Complex

5. Dwarkadheesh Temple

Dwarkadheesh Temple was constructed in the year 1814 under the instructions of the treasurer of the Estate of Gwalior, Seth Gokul Das Parikh. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna.
The temple is a testament to the locals who address their beloved Krishna as ‘King of Dwarka’. Lord Krishna and Radha are the main deities inside the complex of the temple. The temple has beautiful paintings and carvings inside which also makes it a monument specialising in art and architecture.
In Dwarkadheesh Temple, the deity of Lord Krishna has been built out of black marble and the idol of Radha is out of white marble. The temple is gigantic in its structure and has a main building which is large and garlanded by an entrance that has been constructed in Rajasthani architectural prototype. Idols of several god and goddesses also grace the temple complex along with those of Radha and Krishna.
Must see : Hindola festival is celebrated with a great gusto at the temple during monsoons. The festival is celebrated by decorating the entire temple flowers and lights.
6. Vishram Ghat
Vishram Ghat, Mathura
The next stop in our one day tour is Vishram Ghat in Mathura, it is graced with elegant temples and some of the most well known shrines of the city. This holy ghat is home to Mukut Temple, Radha-Damodar Temple and numerous other Hindu places of worship.
