One Day Makasutu Cultural Forest Tour

Package Overview

This is a full day excursion to Makasutu Cultural Forest situated approximately 30km from your resort hotels.

Departing from your Hotels, we proceed to Makasutu via Serrekunda, the most densely populated town in the Gambia. Makasutu occupies an area of 1000 acre and is beautiful situated the bank of the kembujeh tributary.

The itinerary will include a walk within the forest, followed by a boat trip onboard a dugout canoe. This excursion will enable you to see the various animals and trees depicting the Gambian flora and fauna buffet lunch will be served, followed by cultural entertainment.

From Makasutu we proceed back to your hotels, stopping on the way to visit the Brikama woodcarving centre. Here you will have the chance to see and buy various Gambian Arts & Craft. We shall arrive at your Hotels by 16:30.
