The tanzanite gemstone is unique to Tanzania and to the Arusha region in particular, the only place where it can be found. Visitors will learn about the qualities of the gem, how it is mined and will also have the chance to purchase their own gems or jewellery.

Day Itinerary

2 Hours : Tanzanite

Guests will be picked up at their hotel and then driven to the Cultural Heritage Centre which houses the Tanzanite Museum. There visitors will learn about the unique characteristics of tanzanite, its mining process and its significance in the gemstone industry. The museum provides an educational experience that showcases the allure and rarity of tanzanite, making it a must-visit attraction for those interested in gemstones and jewelry. Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase their own gemstones, jewelry or order custom pieces. Certificates are issued for all purchases so that buyers may take their gems out of the country legally.

The tour ends at the Centre at 12pm.
