In this short one-day tour our experienced and amicable tour guide will lead you around the most noteworthy sights and attractions of Almaty, the city that many call the southern capital of Kazakhstan, a major financial, economic, cultural and educational center of the country.

Almaty is located on the verge of the great Steppe, where it comes to meet the ridges of the Pamir-Alay Mountain system. The city itself is partly a steppe zone, and partly a hill-mountain area.

Almaty has plenty of visitable monuments, parks, museums, theaters and view grounds. During the excursion, you will be allowed to take best photos from the most favorable points, reach the sights without difficulty of traffic jams, and plan your itinerary so that nothing is left uncovered. Almaty is famous for its luxurious shopping centers, trendy restaurants, bars and discos. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Almaty City Excursion

  Your city tour starts with a visit to the Square of Republic and monument of Golden Man, the symbol of continuity of times and the glory of people that one lived on this land.
  
  A ride in the Almaty Metro can be a nice experience. The subway was built recently, all is new and sparkling, and though the circuit is quite short, even a few stops will give you an idea that this transport means is not just to get from point A to point B, but rather a piece of architecture and decoration art.
  
  The excursion continues in one of city parks where the Ascension Cathedral of Russian Orthodox Church is proudly sitting in the green shady environment. This spectacular and solemn building is unique by that it is built using no iron elements, all of wood.
  
  Next stops during your excursion are the Museum of Musial Instruments, Park of 28 Panfilov's men (heroes of World War II), Memorial of Glory, devoted to Soviet soldiers and citizens who died during the great patriotic war. Then you continue the tour to the Green Bazaar, where a huge variety of fruit, vegetables, dried fruit and sweets can be tasted and bought.
  
  After lunch you will be invited to the Kok Tobe park, which can be reached by a cable car. On top of the hill the guide will tell you about the Almaty TV tower and its history, you will see the monument to the Beetles and many other attractions including a ride on an observation wheel from which splendid views of Almaty can be enjoyed.
