About the Patalsu Peak Trek:

About the destination:
Nestled at the head of the beautiful Kullu valley in Himachal Pradesh, Patalsu Peak climbs up to staggering heights of 13,460ft to offer unmatched views of the surrounding Himalayan canvas. It is one of the most widely sought after treks in Himachal Pradesh. Though moderately challenging, the Patalsu Peak trek is ideal for very fit beginners. The trek pushes you through some steep inclines, narrow ridges
and moraines, sure, but the backdrop of the engulfing snowy peaks make every minute of exertion worth it. Its moderate level gradients lure herds of trekkers into its snowy folds, with promises of 360-degree views of nature at its best. It also gives you the rush of a summit
climb. The trek starts from the very famous Solang valley, and the trails coil through quaint little hamlets, alpine meadows and beautiful dense forests of oak and pine. It is also not uncommon to spot avian species like Khaleej and morals during the trek. The route to Patalsu Peak is lined with evergreen forests and eventually morphs into a rugged, uneven terrain. Though slightly taxing, the summit is a window to the expansive Himalayan grandeur, with giants like Friendship peak, Manali peaks, and Shitidhar looming up right before you.

Day 1 : After arriving in Manali
After arriving in Manali on the first day, assemble at the decided point and get briefed on the dos and don’ts of the Patalsu peak trekking. Post this, you will be driving towards the Solang Valley. Lunch will be provided in the camp at Solang Nallah. After Lunch acclimatization walk towards Anjani Mahadev. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 2 : Trek from Solang Nulla to Shagadugh (4 to 6 hrs)
The day will be dedicated towards trekking from the Solang Nulla camp to Shahadugh. Starting in the morning, the trek for the day will take you through deciduous pine and oak forests, after entering which, the climb becomes slightly steeper. Also, as you walk you will get to see a number of rare birds of the Himalayas. Continuing through these scenic trails, once you reach a stunningopen meadow, you will be at the Shagadugh camp, overnight stay in the camp
Day 3 : Trek from Shagadugh – Patalsu Peak – Shagadugh (More than 6 Hrs)
Starting with an early morning trek, proceed towards the captivating Patalsu Peak 4,220m). The meadow will soon end after the beginning of the trek and the forests will hit again. Trek through the lush and evergreen forests from the Shagadugh camp and trail through the winding and uneven terrains to reach the summit. You will find snow here, even if it is the months of summer. Arriving at Patalsu Peak, enjoy the panoramic views of the Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba, Shitidhar, Friendship and mountains of the Ladakhi and Dhauladhar Ranges. Capture some of the most delightful moments of your trek so far and start descending back to the campsite for an overnight stay in Shagadugh.
Day 4 : Trek from Shagadugh to Solang Nulla | Drive from Solang Nulla to Manali (More than 5 hrs)
On the last day of this exciting and fascinating expedition, trek back to the Solang Nallah Camp from Shagadugh, from where, you will be finally driven to Manali, from where you can continue on your onward journey and bring the experience to an end.
