Day 2 : Aqaba | “city of Mosaics”
Proceed to Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land he would never enter. Just beyond, Madaba — the “City of Mosaics” — reveals the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Land. Composed of two million pieces of colored stone, it informed scholars about Jerusalem’s layout after its destruction and rebuilding in AD 70. Continue to Aqaba and check in to your hotel. Tonight, sit down to a special welcome dinner.
Day 3 : Wadi Rum | Valley of the Moon
After a morning at leisure in Aqaba, travel to Wadi Rum — the “Valley of the Moon” — and explore by 4×4 vehicle the rose-tinted mountains and desert vistas where Lawrence of Arabia once lived. Then, experience this wondrous region from another perspective — travelling on camel back. Dine beneath twinkling desert skies before returning to your hotel.
Day 4 : Petra | the “rose Red” City
Spend a full day exploring the once-thriving capital of Petra, a stunning city carved from its surrounding mountains. Pass through the Siq, the main entrance to the ancient city, to view the majestic Treasury, Temple of the Winged Lions and Palace Tomb. Sit down to an authentic, local lunch before driving to your hotel by the Dead Sea.
Day 5 : Jerash | “pompeii of the Middle East”
Following breakfast, travel to Jerash, the third-century “Pompeii of the Middle East,” with its well-preserved Roman ruins. Next, tour Amman, visiting its historic downtown. Stop at the ancient Citadel, the remains of a small Byzantine basilica and the Great Temple of Amman. Later, enjoy an evening dip in the restorative waters of the Dead Sea.
Day 6 : Cairo, Egypt | Land of the Pharaohs
Transfer to the airport and fly to Cairo. Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where the treasures of Tutankhamun — and artifacts dating back to 4000 BC — reveal Egypt’s artistic and architectural heritage. View the famous Mummy Room, housing the remains of many kings and queens of ancient Egypt, including Ramses II, Egypt’s longest-ruling pharaoh.
Day 7 : Luxor | Cruising the Nile, World’s Longest River
Transfer to the airport and fly to Luxor, where you board your luxury Nile cruise. Embark on a three-night cruise where you will discover the Nile’s significant impact on ancient Egyptian civilization. After lunch on board, visit the striking Temple of Luxor. Along the front of the temple pylons, there were six large statues of Ramses II (of which three remain), while behind the East Tower is the Courtyard of Ramses II. Marvel at the Colonnade of Amenhotep III, which consists of 14 papyrus-headed columns, leading to the Court of Amenhotep III. Enjoy a welcome cocktail, followed by dinner.
Day 8 : Nile Cruise | Storied Structures
Discover the Valley of the Kings, the legendary burial ground of the pharaohs. Journey to the Temple of Karnak, where generations of pharaohs wished to record their names. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall with its expertly aligned columns, a sight to behold. Continue cruising to Edfu and the Temple of Horus, the falcon-headed god. Built in 230 BC by Ptolemy III, and spending much of the modern era buried in sand and debris, this stunningly well-preserved and colorful structure reveals what temple worship in ancient Egypt was like.

Afterward, continue to the impressive granite quarries and site of the Unfinished Obelisk, thought to have belonged to Queen Hatshepsut or Queen Nefertiti. Arrive at your historic luxury hotel. Dating back to 1899, the property was built by Thomas Cook to house European travelers, among them Sir Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher and Agatha Christie, whose novel, Death on the Nile, was set at this Victorian palace.
