Day 1 : Paro - Thimphu
Pickup from Airport (2200m altitude) after completing the airport formalities, drive to hotel in Thimphu (2300m altitude), which is 65 km from the airport. Check in hotel, discuss on what guest(s) are trying to achieve in their photography. Afterwards explore the city. Overnight stay in hotel at Thimphu.
Day 2 : Explore Thimphu
During breakfast at 8:00am, discuss on “rules and regulation of Photography in Bhutan. After that explore the capital town, and then take a short drive north to get to the base of the hiking trail to Cheri monastery. From the base, walk to the 17th century Cheri (monastery), crossing the cantilever bridge and climb steeply for 30 to 45 minutes towards the monastery. Silver Chorten inside the monastery is said to hold the ashes of the Zhabdrung's father. Overnight stay at hotel in Thimphu.
Day 3 : Thimphu - Phobjikha Valley (2900m altutude)
Start early at 7:30am towards Phobjikha. En route visit Dochula Pass (3150m altitude) for photographing. After that take the opportunity to visit burned out majestic fortress of Wangdue Phodrang damaged by fire in 2012. Then climb towards Pele la Pass (3351m altitude), on a clear day view the high snow capped peaks and more specially, Mount Jomolhari (7,314 meter). After that turn back and descend from the pass through the dwarf bamboo and reach Phobjikha valley. After lunch continue tour by visiting Gangtey Monastery and explore the landscape of Phobjikha valley. In the evening enjoy dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Phobjikha.
Day 4 : Phobjakha - Punakha(1350m altitude)
After a sunrise shoot, return to Punakha. At Lobesa which is on the way, hike through rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang temple located on a small hilltop. This temple is dedicated to the great Yogi in the 14th century known as Drukpa Kuenley or popularly known as the “Divine madman” in the west. After lunch at Lobesa hotel, continue drive towards Punakha Dzong (Fortress) situated between the two rivers Pho Chu and Mo Chu. This fortress is now used as the winter seat of the Je Khenpo (the Spiritual head of Bhutan). In the evening enjoy dinner, review images and discuss the day’s photography. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Punakha.
Day 5 : Explore Punakha
By spending another day at Punakha, explore more of Punakha, including the nunnery, the Nalanda Buddhist Institute and hike to Khamsum Yueley Namgyal temple. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Punakha.
Day 6 : Punakha - Thimphu(2300m altitude)
After an early morning shoot at 7:30am, return for breakfast at 9:00am and discuss work flow. After that start the journey towards Thimphu. While en route, stop at Dochula Pass (3150m altitude) for lunch. After arriving at hotel in Thimphu, check in and spend the rest of the day walking around, photographing, in the town. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Thimphu.
Day 7 : Thimphu - Haa Valley(3200m altitude)
Start at 7:30am, drive westwards to the pristine and remote Haa valley (2,670m altitude), which was recently opened to tourists. The valley is dotted with fields of millet, barley, and potatoes and full of ancient shrines. The drive will give you an insight into a medieval way of life that has changed little over the centuries. After lunch, visit two famous monasteries, Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo, (Black Temple). Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Haa Valley.
Day 8 : Haa - Paro (via Chele la pass, 3800m altitude)
After an early morning shoot at 7:30am drive to Paro via the Chele-la pass (3,800m altitude) through blue pine and rhododendron forests. On a clear day there is a superb view from the pass of two of Bhutan's highest and best known peaks – Mount. Jumolhari and Jitchu Drake. Stop here briefly to enjoy the lovely mountain scenery. After lunch visit Kyichu Lhakhang, built in the seventh century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gonpo and time permitting take a leisurely hike down to Rimpung Dzong. Afterwards check into the hotel, and retire for the evening for a well-deserved rest. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Paro.
Day 9 : Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest)
After breakfast at 7:30am, driver will drop guest(s) at the base of Taktsang monastery. From here hike upwards to the monastery which climbs through a beautiful pine forest. The hike leads to the imposing Taktsang monastery, built in 1600s. It is believed that in the 8th century, Guru Rimpoche, the tantric mystic who brought Buddhism to Bhutan, landed here on the back of a flying tigress to subdue a demon. Guru Rimpoche is supposed to have meditated here for three months in a cave where monastery stands at present. Upon return to the base, drive further up the valley to Drukgyel Dzong, built in 1646 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to celebrate victory over Tibetan invading forces and also to curtail further invasions from the enemy. From here, on a clear day, get a magnificent view of the Mount Jumolhari (7,314m). After returning to town, prepare for festive “Farewell Dinner”, discuss the events of the trip, share favorite photos and enjoy the fun and laughter. Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 10 : Depart from Paro
After an early breakfast at 7:30am in the hotel, drive to the Paro International Airport for onward destination.

• After arrival in Bhutan: 100% of the rates.
25% cancellation fee on air ticket(s) will be deducted, if cancelled one week prior to scheduled flight date.
