Ghorepani - Poon Hill trek is one of the most famous and classic trekking route in Nepal. This exhilarating 8-days trek allows us to take in some of the most awe-inspiring landscape views of the Himalayas like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain Range, passing through spectacular forested areas. The view of the sunrise is much more magnificent from an altitudes of 3210m, and anyone of a reasonable fitness level can comfortably complete this trek.
Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking journey begins from the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara where we will take a short bus ride to Nayapul village. The adventure starts from Nayapul which offers the combination of both scenery and wildlife like beautiful village, white floating rivers, beautiful rhododendron forest, musk deer, colorful butterflies, etc. Ascending along the trail we reach the bank of the river to Tirkhadunga where we will spend our first night. Next day we ascend along the trail to Ghorepani appreciating magnitude of colorful orchids and admiring clear views of the towering expanse of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The highlight of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is to visit Poon Hill (3210m) in dawn, from where we will be able to see a spectacular sunrise over the whole Himalayan range and surrounding rice terraces. After having breakfast we trek east to Tadapani (2590m), crossing rhododendron forests, the sight of huge and wonderful fishtail shaped Mt. Machhapuchhare, Annapurna south and Gangapurna and continue our trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Chhomrong for a whole day and rest overnight. Following day we cross the scenic village of Landruk, and reach Thorkha and stay there for a night. On the final day of our trek we through by another lovely Dhampus village, trek down to Phedi after having lunch and finally we will be transported back to Pokhara enjoying our last views of the majestic scenery.Porter if needed.

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Pokhara
Early morning at 7 am bus drive to Pokhara (823m). Explore Pokhara. Relax and dine by tranquil Lake Phewa.
Day 2 : Pokhara to Pothana
Transfer to Phedi, this is the starting point of your trek. The trail is through a forested valley, in parts along a ridge. From day 1 you receive immediate views of the mountains, and they continue to improve from this point. The evening camp is at Pothana 1500m; from this village you can see the famous Machhapuchhare (the 'fish tail' mountain) and Annapurna South
Day 3 : Pothana to Landruk
A relatively easy day's walk, descending a stone stair case, then a climb through forests to a ridge. Pass streams, fields, a village school and cross a suspension bridge. Finally you reach the white washed stoned buildings and paved courtyards of Landruk 1630m and settle for the night.
Day 4 : Landruk to Ghandruk
You will encounter the most amazing Gurung village. Explore and visit the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk Village. From this point you will have the most magnificent sunrise to Annapurna south and Hiunchuli while you having breakfast.
Day 5 : Ghandruk to Tadapani
You will continue trek to Tadapani through the dense forest, while walking for 3 hours
Day 6 : Tadapani to Ghorepani
Walking through the green forest, Rivers, enjoy the Neture
Day 7 : Ghorepani/Poon Hill to Tirkhadunga
Early in the morning trek to Poon hill where one may witness the sunrise for a lifetime memory. From Poon hill one can view over 30 white-capped peaks, the whole Annapurna range. Many people talk about having a life changing experience after watching the sunrise over the panorama of the Himalayas. Then, walk through the forest filled with flowers (in the spring). After breakfast continue downhill trek to Tirkhadunga for over night.
Day 8 : Tirkhadunga to Nayapul to Pokhara
The trails continue through the bank of the river and reach the point (Birethanti) where, possibly lunch here. Half hour walks lead you to catch the van, and then drive to Pokhara.

When to book
It is wise to make your booking at least one months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your international flight, we recommend organizing your trip at least two months in advance. (Please contact us if you require a late booking)
In the event of cancellation of tour / travel,trekking services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: -
45 days prior to arrival :10% of the Tour / service cost
15 days prior to arrival :20% of the Tour / service cost
07 days prior to arrival :25% of the Tour / service cost
48 hours prior to arrival :50% of the Tour / service cost
Less than 24 hours or No Show : No Refund
Liabilities and responsibilities :
Meeting another culture requires tolerance and the ability to adapt. It is in the nature of all the programs that arrangements and participants have to be flexible. The agency will always try its very best to solve any problem you face during your trip, but cannot be held responsible for delays or alterations in the programs or for expenses incurred, owing to domestic flights delays or cancellation, strikes, local regulations, sickness, bad weather, war, major force, political closures and disputes...
Travel insurance :
A travel insurance policy is vital if you go trekking. While most general travel insurances cover you against sickness while on a trek, not all cover you for emergency evacuation, which could run into many thousands of dollars if a helicopter were required.
Trekking or In tour do not offer travel insurance policies, however we strongly recommend that you apply for one covering mountain rescue and emergency evacuation.
Flights :
we do not offer international flights from your country to Nepal
However, we arrange any domestic flights as they are included in the price of your journey. We will require all information or documents needed to reserve your flight upon receipt of your booking.
Group composition :
Trip in nepal promotes independence and flexibility, and will not ask you to join a pre-arranged group. Any adventure you choose will be tailored to your own individual needs, and you will travel either with your companions or alone.
