This trip is also of course fully loaded with great family adventures that see you jet boating, zipling, biking and cruising on a steamship amongst simply stunning locations.
Over three days this trip delivers a full and amazing Queenstown experience but also includes time exploring Arrowtown, Glenorchy, Paradise and Cromwell for some of the finest natural beauty in New Zealand.

Day 1 : Arrival
Your friendly guide will collect you from your accommodation at 9.00am, and after making introductions the adventures begin. Today we hit the road and drive to Glenorchy, our destination for the day which is located at the head of Lake Wakatipu.
Prepare to be wowed. The road from Queenstown to Glenorchy is regarded by many as one of the top 10 drives in the world, an opinion we most definitely agree with!
On this drive, we make plenty of stops along the way to allows us to step out of the vehicle and marvel at the phenomenal lake, mountain, and glacier views around us. Your knowledgeable guide is of course always on hand to tell you more about the rich history, geographical makeup and fun facts of the area too.
Once we have arrived in Glenorchy we take a tiki tour of the small township before continuing our journey on towards Mt Aspiring National Park. Here we explore the stunning rivers and glacial valleys which have made this area famous by providing incredible scene locations to many blockbuster Hollywood movies, TV shows, and commercials.....we're on location!
After Lunch in Glenorchy, we'll gear up and spend the afternoon zip lining through ancient native Red Beech forest and venture where few have gone before us. These forests are home to inaccessible slot canyons, stunning Blue chasms and possibly Orcs and Hobbits....
This part of the trip is a real highlight and showcases the magnificent natural beauty that all New Zealanders are so very proud of.
Once we have zipped all the way back to base, we'll hit the road and make our way back to Queenstown and return you to your accommodation.
Night 1 in Queenstown
Day 2 : Queenstown
This morning we'll collect you from your accommodation and take you to one of our favourite local cafe's for breakfast before heading directly to Queenstown Bay for a 1 hour Jet Boat adventure.
These incredibly powerful boats deliver plenty of thrills and explore 47km of Lake Wakatipu and the Kawarau river. This is not a regular scenic boat ride, however, along with awesome views there are also lots of 360 degree spins on the boat for a truly exhilarating Queenstown adventure experience.
Once back on dry land we'll hit the road and venture to the best Queenstown lookouts for unparalleled views. Favourite spots include Queenstown Hill and Coronet Peak ski field where we can watch paragliders and hang gliders launch of the side of the mountain and effortlessly fly off into the distance.
Once back down to the valley floor we visit quaint and historic Arrowtown which proudly celebrates its rich gold mining past and whose buildings have fantastic ornamental and original facades that provide a throwback to yesteryear.
After lunch in Arrowtown, you'll spend an afternoon of self-guided pedaling on the ever so scenic Queenstown trail crisscrossing sparkling rivers and beautiful bridges by mountain bike.
There are a great many rides that can be done on this vast network of family-friendly trails and something for all abilities and experience. We will plan your afternoon of biking and provide you with high-quality equipment rentals, refreshments, and bike taxi shuttle support so that you can pedal multiple sections of the trail and get the very best out of your day. Suitable electronic bikes are also available when organised in advance.
Your afternoon of pedaling brings you back into Queenstown along the scenic Frankton lakeside trail and into the Queenstown gardens. Here we collect you and your bikes and return you to your accommodation.
Night 2 in Queenstown
Day 3 : Departure
This morning we have breakfast at our favourite local cafe, and then depart Queenstown for a scenic tour that takes us deeper into Central Otago and includes historic Old Cromwell town which is picturesquely set on the confluence of the Kawarau River.
Our tour stops at the world-famous AJ Hackett Kawarau Bridge to see some live Bungy jumping in action, and see how it feels to live life on the edge! This is the site of the world's first commercial bungy which helped put Queenstown on the world map and was a game changer in the adventure tourism industry.
From here we drive through the Gibbston Valley vineyards which are home to some of the world's finest Pinot Noir wines and into the impressive Kawarau Gorge where we follow the mighty river past Roaring Megs and all the way to our destination of Cromwell.
Cromwell's unique microclimate has made it famous for being the stone fruit capital of New Zealand and is home to many orchards and vineyards. This is a great area to explore and is full of great history, scenery and also adventure with is being home to the Highlands Motorsport Park where there are awesome Go karting and high octane race car experiences.
After lunch, we return to Queenstown and jump aboard the "Lady of the lake" the TSS Earnslaw steamship for a spectacular afternoon cruise across Lake Wakatipu. This vintage steamship sails across the lake to the remote Walter Peak Station where we disembark for an authentic afternoon high country farm tour with sheep shearing, sheepdog demonstrations and afternoon tea. Upon our return to Queenstown bay, we disembark the TSS Earnslaw and drop you back to your accommodation.
