Departure

​Reporting time 7.30 am at the Intercity terminal, 118 Bealey Ave (between Colombo St and Durham St intersections). Departs at 8.00 am EVERY DAY
Additional Nights – Available to any destination of your choosing. You can add an extra night for a competitive rate. If you would like to extend your tour, please advise your consultant when making your booking. We definitely recommend that you spend extra nights prior to and after your tour to explore the gateway destinations, as these provide many unique attractions worth going the extra mile for.

Transfers Included
Transfers are included between your accommodation and transport on the Tour. If you need to we can book your pre-tour arrangements or you can make your own way to the Tour departure location.

The tours operate every day and use routine train, ferry and motor coach services. All hotel, motel accommodation, transportation and essential sightseeing are pre-arranged for you.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Christchurch - Greymouth - Glaciers

  Board the TranzAlpine train to traverse the South Alps to Greymouth. Coach down the West Coast to the Glaciers. Stay 2 nights in Fox or Franz Josef or Fox Glaciers townships.

• Day 2 : At Glaciers

  A whole day is available for optional excursions on the glacier, bush walks or to simply soak up the beautiful scenery.

• Day 3 : Glaciers - Queenstown

  Continue south into dense rainforest broken by rugged coastal vistas. Reach Lake Wanaka in the early afternoon. Continue through rugged Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown.
  
  Stay 2 nights in Queenstown.

• Day 4 : Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown

  An early start around the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Lake Te Anau, then into Fiordland National Park. Pass through pristine beech forests and the Homer Tunnel to view the majesty of Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls aboard a cruise on the Sounds. Return to Queenstown this evening.

• Day 5 : Queenstown - Mount Cook - Christchurch

  Travel through the Kawarau Gorge and over the Lindis Pass to reach Mount Cook around midday. Pass Lake Tekapo, then north to Christchurch.
  
  Stay 1 night in Christchurch.

• Day 6 : At Christchurch

  Your tour concludes this morning on check-out.
