Rajaji National Park

Rajaji National Park is distinct for its pristine scenic beauty and rich biodiversity. A paradise for nature lovers and wild-life enthusiasts. The wild-life of the park is blessed with elephants, tiger, leopards, deer and gorals as its best known life form. It posses as many as 23 species of mammals and 315 avifauna species. Spread over an area of 820.42 sq. kms. in Hardwar, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand (India).

In winters a large variety of fascinating migratory birds play in the azure waters of river Ganges which flows through the park. Both the rivers of the area Ganges and Song shelter various species of fish like- Mahasheer, Kala-banse, Goonch, Chilwa and Trout.

Temperature : Summer Max. 42°C & Winter Max. 0°C

Main tourist centers : Chilla, Motichur & Dholkhand

Accessibility :
Air : Nearest airport is jolly Grant, Dehradun, 33kms.
Rail : Nearest railhead is at Hardwar ( 8kms.) and Dehradun (24kms.).
Road : The National Park is 220 kms. from Delhi & from Lucknow it is at a distance of 510kms.

Elephants are available for wildlife viewing at Chilla and Dholkand. Elephant rides are conducted morning and evening.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 :

Dep. from Delhi by Shatabdi at 6.30 AM

Arr. Hardwar at 11.00 AM. On Arrival, check in Hotel Sachin International, Hardwar.

After Fresh up, drive to Raja-ji-National Park, Hardwar with Packed Lunch.

Activities : Elephant Safari

At evening visit Har-ki-pauri for Ganga Aarti (Special arrangements from Skylark)

Dinner & Night Halt at Hotel.
Day 2 :

After Breakfast, drive to Rishikesh.

Arr. Rishikesh and Transfer to Shivpuri for White Water Rafting.

Start Rafting from Shivpuri at 11.00 AM.

Arr. Rishikesh at 1.00 PM. Lunch at Rishikesh.

After Lunch visit Rishikesh & Hardwar Local Sight Seeing.

Dep from Hardwar at 6.00 PM by Shatabdi Exp. to Delhi.

Arr. Delhi at 10.30 PM.
