Starting in Delhi with a full day’s sightseeing programme we travel to Agra to visit the splendid fort and incomparable Taj Mahal. We stop at the fascinating ruined Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri - a favourite with children - and continue on to see the exotic bird life at Bharatpur and tigers at Ranthambore, perhaps the world’s best place to watch these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Jaipur, the wonderfully vibrant and colourful capital of Rajasthan is no less exciting. We visit the City Palace and the Palace of Winds, as well as the imposing Amber Fort just outside the city. Finally we journey to the holy Hindu town of Pushkar with its stunningly beautiful lake, before boarding a train for an enjoyable ride back to Delhi.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : DELHI

  Arrive Delhi Upon arrival at the Delhi airport and after the traditional welcome, transfer to the hotel for check in. Rest of the day free. Overnight Hotel
• Day 2 : AGRA

  Delhi – Agra (230 kms;4-5hrs) In the morning depart to Agra and check-in. In the afternoon visit Agra Fort. Evening is free to explore the local bazaar and the town. Overnight Hotel

• Day 3 : BHARATPUR

  Agra – Bharatpur via Fatehpur Sikri (75 kms;4hrs) Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal. After breakfast drive to Fatehpur Sikri to visit the Palace built by Akbar. Later drive to Bharatpur, check-in to the hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Overnight Hotel

• Day 4 : RANTHAMBORE

  Bharatpur – Ranthambore (220 km;4-5hrs) Today visit Keoladev Bird Sanctuary in the morning on cycle rickshaws. In the afternoon drive to Ranthambore, the place where the tigers are. Overnight Hotel
• Day 5 : RANTHAMBORE

  Morning and evening game drives at Ranthambore Today there are two game drives into Ranthambore National Park; one early in the morning and the other late in the afternoon. Overnight Hotel

• Day 6 : JAIPUR

  Ranthambore – Jaipur (170 km;04hrs) Leave Ranthambore after breakfast and drive to Jaipur, the colourful city. Afternoon is free for local exploration. Overnight Hotel

  Sightseeing in Jaipur In the sightseeing programme today visit Amber Fort in the morning followed by visits to City Palace, Jantar Mantar (the 18th Century observatory) and Hawa Mahal – the Façade called the Palace of Winds. Overnight Hotel

• Day 8 : PUSHKAR

  Jaipur – Pushkar (180 km;04hrs) After breakfast drive to Pushkar and check into the hotel. Later in the afternoon take an optional camel safari in the golden sand dunes. Overnight Hotel

• Day 9 : PUSHKAR

  Sightseeing in Pushkar Today a hike to the Savitri Temple on top of Savitri Hill in the morning. Later visit the Holy Lake and the Brahma Temple within the main town. Overnight Hotel

• Day 10 : DELHI

  Pushkar – Delhi by train Morning is free to relax at the hotel. Take the afternoon train to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer and check into the hotel with a free time to relax. Overnight Hotel

  Tour concludes Morning guided tour of Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Raj Ghat. Later drive past India Gate and the President’s residence. Evening departure transfer to the International Airport.
