Day 1 : Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and get transferred to the hotel that has been pre-booked for you.
Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi - Mandawa
Begin your Rajasthan Program tour with a sightseeing trip across Delhi city. Visiting the prominent attractions of the city like the Qutab Minar, the Jama Masjid, the Red Fort, the Gandhi Memorial and the Parliament House will take most part of the day, therefore in the late afternoon, start off your journey to Mandawa. This will be the first destination in Rajasthan in this tour. On arriving here check into the hotel and surrender yourself to the cozy comforts of the hotel room.
Day 3 : Mandawa - Bikaner
Bikaner is located at a distance of about 240 km from Mandawa. An 8 hour drive will land you in this city that is mostly known for its impressive forts and palaces such as the Junagarh fort, the Lalgarh Palace, the Laxmi Niwas Palace, and most importantly the Karni Mata temple.
Day 4 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Post exploring through the city, leave for Jaisalmer by afternoon. The drive will take about 7 hours, therefore on reaching Jaisalmer, check into the hotel and retire for the day.
Day 5 : Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is known as the ‘Golden City of India’ and why not With forts and palaces built of yellow sandstone, the bright sun rays almost transform this city into a golden paradise. Major attractions in the city include the Jaisalmer Fort, the Chattris, and the numerous artistic havelis.
Day 6 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Drive on road from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur, another city of Rajasthan that boasts of great heritage and cultural extravaganza. Jodhpur is home to the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace and the Mehrangarh Fort. Besides, it also houses other attractions like the Jaswant Thada and a number of museums and art galleries that exhibit local art and crafts specimens.
Day 7 : Jodhpur - Udaipur
On day 7, post-breakfast, you will move out of Jodhpur and travel to Udaipur through the Ranakpur route. To break the monotony of the journey and to pay tribute to the Jain Tirthankars, you will stopover at Ranakpur that boasts of several medieval Jain temples of great artistic designs. The 15th century temple complex houses a number of shrines in its midst and each of them is held in very high regard by the locals and the tourists alike.
By the time you reach Udaipur it will be late evening. Therefore check into the hotel and finally retire for the day. Rest your weary souls and gear up for the next phase of this roller coaster tour.
Day 8 : Udaipur
A jewel in the grand cap of Rajasthan tourism is Udaipur. Known as the city of Lakes, Udaipur with its lush greenery and royal heritage is a popular tourist attraction in the state. The lake Pichola and its shores attract locals and tourists alike to come and spend some leisurely moments here. Besides this; the City Palace complex, the Lake Palace, and the Jag Mandir also attract tourists to come and taste a slice of Rajputana royalty.
Day 9 : Udaipur - Pushkar
Today you will be visiting 2 of the most sacred Indian cities - Ajmer and Pushkar. Ajmer is mostly known for housing the tomb of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. The 'dargah sharif' as it is popularly known as, attracts tourists belonging to the various faiths other than millions of Muslim devotees, every year. On the other hand, Pushkar is fondly frequented for its temples and the annual cattle fair. Overnight stay will be arranged for you in Pushkar.
Day 10 : Pushkar - Jaipur
On day 10 you will have early breakfast and leave for Jaipur, leaving the holy town of Pushkar behind. The distance till Jaipur from Pushkar is about 110 km and therefore you will only reach there by noon. Post- lunch you can embark on city tours across Jaipur city. During this tour you will be taken to Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the also the local markets that adorn a more vibrant look especially in the evenings. Your stay will be arranged in a Jaipur hotel itself.
Day 11 : Jaipur - Agra
It takes about 5 hours on road to reach from Jaipur to Agra. Therefore post-breakfast you will commence your journey to the Mughal city, enroute halting at the Amer Fort and then at Fathepur Sikri.
Amer Fort is located at a distance of just about 15 km from Jaipur. This impressive fort was built by Raja Man Singh around 1592. This fort displays great artistic tastes of the ruler who ordered the fort to be built only in red and white sandstone. After Amer, your next stop will be Fatehpur Sikri. This walled city was once the Mughal capital and still resonates with the chivalry of the ruler who ruled over it and the noblemen who graced the courts of the ruler. Fatehpur Sikri offers itself as a classic example of the Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.
Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 12 : Agra - Delhi
On the twelfth day of the tour, you will travel through some of the most significant attractions of Agra city. Boasting of Mughal heritage even today, the monuments housed here also tell a million tales of the days of yore. The foremost names that come to mind while taking about Mughal heritage are those of the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and the Itmad-ud- Daullah. The Taj Mahal is a monument that testifies the love between Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Built of pure white marble, this is perhaps the only Mughal monument that is not made of red sandstone. After visiting these monuments, proceed towards Delhi; your final destination of the Rajasthan Program tour.
Located at a distance of about 200 km, reaching Delhi will take you almost 5 hours. On arriving here, enjoy your farewell dinner and head straight to the international airport for your flight back home.
