Day 1 : International Arrival, Delhi at Leisure
Welcome to India! Upon arrival at India Gandhi International Airport, you are greeted by our representative. Transferred to hotel where our representative helps you check in and brief you about the following tours. Have some free time on your own to adjust to the new time zone.
Overnight stay will be in Delhi.
Day 2 : Delhi Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel, your tour guide will pick you up in hotel lobby then head to Old Delhi for the magnificent Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque; then a unique glance at local life by an exploration to the bustling local bazaar of Chandni Chowk on rickshaw.
View Red Fort before drive to New Delhi for the tallest stone tower in India, 800-year-old Qutub Minar surrounded by ancient Hindu and Muslim complex. Continue to Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi. Drive along the city landmark of India Gate, President's House, Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings. Finish today with an insight into the local religion at a colorful Hindu temple-Laxmi Narayan Temple.
Tips: Female tourists are asked to wear robes before entering Jama Masjid. If you don't have one, rent from the temple, which costs 50 rupees.
Overnight stay will be in Delhi.
Day 3 : Delhi - Agra (By Car, Approx. 4.5 Hrs, 220 Km)
After breakfast, you will head for Agra by private A/C car. En route, you can stop for photo opportunities or a rest. Upon your arrival, be transferred to your hotel to check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax.
Overnight stay will be in Agra.
Day 4 : Agra, Sightseeing
Today's tour starts with an early morning visit to Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), which frees you from the crowds and heat in daytime. This white-marble world wonder was built by a great emperor in memory of his beloved. Later visit the palatial Royal Pavilions at the red sandstone Agra Fort for a glimpse of the royal Mughal lifestyle. The rest of the day is at leisure. Vehicle and the drier are at your disposal.
Tips: Strict security check is needed before entering Taj Mahal. Foods, plastic bags, chargers,etc are all prohibited things. We suggest you catch the sunrise view in the early morning for the temperature is relatively cool and avoid the peak time.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Agra.
Day 5 : Agra - Jaipur (By Car, Approx. 5 Hrs, 289 Km)
Breakfast then head west to Jaipur. En-route visit the former royal city of Fatehpur Sikri (about 1.5 hrs), one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendor at its height, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water.
Note: Driving time in the program is approximate, subject to the traffic, weather and road conditions.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 6 : Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit hillside Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the state; unique elephant ride (or Jeep ride for alternation) ascent to the fort is full of unbeatable view and fun; inside you'll also experience the kingly palaces incl. the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors).
Drive back to the 'pink city' of Jaipur and stop at faade of the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and your tour guide shows you the best angle for a perfect picture. Continue to the City Palace Museum for its superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury; do check the local time yourself at Jantar Mantar - the largest stone observatory in world that still in service today. Drive through the pink rose residential & business areas before you are escorted back to the hotel.
Tips: There are a lot of vendors hard sell around Amber Fort, if you have no interested in their goods, then don't show any. Even "no thanks" is dispensable. Sun protection is necessary when riding elephant in Amber Fort. Overnight stay will be in Jaipur.
Day 7 : Jaipur - Pushkar
Drive to the desert oasis of Pushkar, a town that clings to the side of the beautiful Pushkar Lake, which is considered to be extremely holy by Hindus. Hundreds of small temples are built on the periphery of the lake with wide stone steps or 'ghats' leading down to the lake where pilgrims and sadhus come to pay their respect.
Then you will explore the only Brahma Temple. In India, Brahma is considered to be the Hindu God of Creation. At sunset, Pushkar turns into one of the most exotic places on earth when a magical quality of light hovers over the lake, bouncing off the surrounding white-washed temples and bathing ghats.
Overnight stay will be in Pushkar.
Day 8 : Pushkar - Jodhpur
After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. Standing at the edge of the Thar Desert, Jodhpur is dominated by the massive Meherangarh Fort which you visit in the afternoon with the help of an audio guide. The fort houses an excellent museum and affords captivating views of the blue Brahmin houses of the old city. The clock tower is a popular landmark in the old city. Narrow alleys lead from here to bazaars for textiles, silver and handicrafts. It's a fascinating jumble of winding streets of great interest to wander around.
Overnight stay will be in Jodhpur.
Day 9 : Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur. Stop en route to visit Ranakpur, a little village between Udaipur and Jodhpur, tucked away in the Aravalli hills. You find here an amazing complex of beautifully carved temples, built by the Jains who served in the courts of the rulers of Udaipur. It is one of the biggest and most important clusters of Jain temples in India. Built in marble, the main temple has 29 halls supported by more than 1,400 pillars, no two of which are alike. You finish the day in Udaipur where you check into your hotel.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Udaipur.
Day 10 : Udaipur Sightseeing
This morning, you first wander through the markets and bazaars to visit the Jagdish Temple, a center of constant activity, followed by a visit to the City Palace, of which the main part is now a museum with a large and varied collection of mosaics, glass and porcelain figures, miniatures and paintings.
After exploring the City Palace, you will take a shared motor boat ride on Lake Pichola (1 hour), before heading for the Garden of the Maids of Honour and Folk Art Museum. You finish your tour by driving past Fatehsagar Lake.
Overnight stay will be in Udaipur.
Day 11 : Udaipur - Mumbai/Delhi Departure
Your tour ends today. After breakfast, transfer to Udaipur airport to Mumbai/Delhi according to your international flight. When you arrive Mumbai/Delhi, be transferred to city center, where you can take advantage of the time for last minute gift shopping before our representative escort you to international airport for return flight.
