Day 1 :
Arrive into Delhi in the morning – The Capital of India…! Welcome and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Old Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Mughals between the 16th and the 19th centuries. Here there are many mosques, monuments and forts, with the most notable being the famous Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. Visit Rajghat also which is cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi who spearheaded freedom movement of India.

Day 2 :
This morning after breakfast, half day sightseeing of New Delhi. Open/spacious streets of New Delhi with broad avenues and big high rises, this imperial city created by the British is like a major modern city contrasts sharply with the medieval atmosphere of the bazaars of Old Delhi. Visit the Lutyenes designed Delhi – the India Gate, Parliament Building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India ‘Qutab Minar, the “Tower of Victory” created by Qutabuddin in 1193 and Humayun’s Tomb, built by the wife of the second Mughal emperor, all are fine pieces of architecture; the famous Taj Mahal follows a similar style of architecture.
Afternoon free for independent activities.

Day 3 :
Early morning, depart by Shatabadi Express for Gwalior – the pearl of Hindustan. Arrive into Gwalior and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit the imposing and magnificent Gwalior Fort. Then visit Man Mandir a six-towered palace and the 19th century Jai Vilas Palace. This Palace is famous for its ornate chandeliers & crystals. Thereafter, visit the Gujari Mahal, the Tomb of Muhammad Ghaus a saint worshipped by the Mughals & the Tomb of the famous musician TANSEN.

Day 4 :
After breakfast at the hotel, take the road towards Agra, the old imperial capital of India during the Mughal era. It has some superb monuments dating from the Mughal era. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel.
Late in the afternoon, we visit Red Fort- the seat of Mughal Empire under successive generations. This Grand fortress of red sandstone along with huge ramparts surrounds a treasury of architectural masterpieces and craftsmanship – the audience hall, royal pavilions, palaces, mosques and charming gardens. Generations of Mughal Emperors lived here have left their own distinct mark on the architecture.

Day 5 :
Early morning visit of the world famous wonder, Taj Mahal (closed on Friday). Its eternal beauty astonishes and mesmerizes one and all. Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. Thereafter, visit the beautiful mausoleum of the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, the first monument in India to feature Persian mosaic style inlay work or “Pietra Dura.” Greatly resembling the Taj in its use of inlay work on white marble, it is often referred to as the “mini-Taj”. Afternoon free for independent activities.

Day 6 :
In the morning we begin our Journey to the princely state of Rajasthan. Enroute visit of Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned city built by Akbar, his capital for 14 years. Thereafter proceed for the ornithological reserve of Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana) Bird sanctuary and paradise of the ornithologists. Visit the reserve in rickshaws. Thereafter we continue our journey to Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan also called the Pink City. Steeped in history and culture, this city is known for its magnificent Palaces and forts, broad avenues and spacious gardens. Jaipur with its romantic charm takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition. Arrive and proceed to the Hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 7 :
Morning after breakfast, visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire rulers, perched atop the hill overlooking the lake. Ascend to this hilltop fort in Maharajah style…by decorated Elephants. Visit the beautiful complex of palaces including inlaid mirror palace, halls, pavilions, gardens and the famous Kali temple.
In the Afternoon, city tour of JAIPUR, visiting the City Palace- the Royal residence of Maharajah built in Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, Hawa Mahal” the Palace of Wind & the Observatory of the 18th century. Thereafter, have a Walk in the bustling bazaars of Jaipur/have a joyful rickshaw ride in this quaint city, well known for their beautiful carpets, enameled ornaments, precious and semi-precious stones, brass ornaments and many other arts and crafts.

Day 8 :
In the morning after breakfast, drive towards Sanganer known for its blue pottery and colorful hand-made paper. Visit an old Jain Temple there. Then continuation towards the old caravan city of Samode locked up in its walls and dominated by the castle. Visit the Palace, the Sheesh Mahal- the hall of mirrors. Thereafter, continue drive towards Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to /Airport.
