Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Madurai

  Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Madurai Airport/ Railway Station and then transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax for a while within the comforts of your room. Later, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of the city of Madurai. Famous for the world acclaimed Meenakshi Temple, the nucleus of which is older than the Madurai city. The Meenakshi temple complex at Madurai is not only an architectural marvel but also the epitome of Indian culture and civilization. Explore the rest of the day at your own. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

• Day 2 : Madurai - Rameshwaram (177 km. - 04½ hrs.)

  Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Rameshwaram, the temple town where Lord Ram struggled for Sita. This is the spiritual place from where Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to rescue his wife Sita, from her abductor, Ravana. This is also the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of killing Ravana. Other interesting places are Agnitheertham which is located at a few meters from the Ramanathaswamy temple. It is believed to be located the same spot where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva. Dhanushkodi is another interesting place where Vibishana, brother of Ravana surrendered before Lord Rama. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.
• Day 3 : Rameshwaram - Kanyakumari (320 km. - 08 hrs.)

  Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Kanyakumari the ‘Land of the Virgin Goddess’. Kanyakumari an important pilgrim centre of India is famous for the Amman Temples – a symbol of unity and sanctity. To its South lies the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a blend of all architectural styles of India. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in Kanyakumari is a famous tourist spot. The architecture of this memorial resembles Hindu temples of central India. The memorial was so designed that on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on 2nd October, the first rays of the sun pass through a hole and fall on the exact place where the ashes are kept. Thiruvalluvar Statue, the memorial statue of Thiruvalluvar is in Kanyakumari. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

• Day 4 : Kanyakumari-Kovalam (100 km. - 03 hrs.)

  After breakfast proceed to Kovalam. Kovalam beach is known as the "Paradise of the South". This dreamland is an evergreen, serene, and enticing beach destination. Kovalam is the place where the sand appears golden during the day time and silver at the night. With its high rock formations and the picturesque blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique visual on moonlit nights. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Trivandrum. The temple of Anantha, the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple is the most religious icon of the city.

• Day 5 : Kovalam - Trivandrum (25 km. - 01hrs.)
