  • Day 3 : Mukhraka - Magdala - Jordan River

This morning, after breakfast, we will travel north to Haifa to visit Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery with the Madonna of Mt Carmel. After enjoying the view of the bay of Acco, we will drive to Mukhraka and visit the Monastery that commemorates Elijah confronting the prophets of Baal. Continue on to the Sea of Galilee to visit the fascinating new excavations at Magdala. We will end the day at the very spot where the Jordan river flows from the Sea of Galilee, leaving time to reflect on the Baptism at the Jordan River (There will also be time for you to renew your own Baptism.) Check-in to your hotel by the lake. Dinner and Overnight.

  • Day 4 : Nazareth - Cana - Mount Arbel

After breakfast, we will drive to Nazareth, the site of Mary’s home and the town where Jesus lived as a child. In Nazareth, we will celebrate Mass in the Basilica of the Annunciation, followed by a visit the Church of St. Joseph and Mary’s Well. Also see Nazareth Village, a careful recreation of what a Galilean village would have been like at the time of Jesus. We continue with a visit to Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle at the request of His mother [John 2:1-11]. Return to visit the Franciscan chapel for those who wish to perform the renewal of their wedding vows. Make our way back to Tiberias, with a stop at Mt Arbel, where you take in a beautiful panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee region where Jesus started His ministry. End the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5 : Tiberias - Sea of Galilee - Kursi - Bethesda - Korazim

Your day starts at the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of Jesus’ great Sermon on the Mount. A short drive away is Capernaum, from where Jesus launched his Ministry; see the synagogue which dates to the time of Jesus and the church built over the site of Peter’s home. Celebrate Mass in this special place. In the afternoon, we will drive up to the Golan Heights to visit ancient towns that were featured in Christ’s life around the lake. Among the towns included is “Kursi”, where Jesus healed the two men possessed by demons, [Mark 5:1-20], Bethsada, and Korazim. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

  • Day 6 : Mt. Tabor - Samaria - Jerusalem

Today, after breakfast, we will drive to Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration, with time to reflect on Christ’s Humanity and Divinity, and a good preparation for your journey back to Jerusalem, where Jesus was to suffer the crucifixion and resurrection. Mass will be celebrated here, at the Basilica here designed to represent 3 tents. Continue south through Samaria, a land rich in Old Testament history. Near Jenin is the Church built over the cave where the 10 lepers healed by Jesus had been banished to. Continue on to Sebastia to see this fascinating site that is rarely visited. Under Herod it was a major city as evidenced by the impressive remains. It is here that Salome danced for Herod and asked for the head of John the Baptist as a reward. The Byzantines built a large Basilica and monastery in his memory. Drive through the valley between the twin peaks of Mt Gerizim and Mt Ebal, known in the Old Testament as Mt. Blessing and Mt Cursing. Stop at Jacob‘s Well, hewn out of solid rock over 100 feet deep. As it is manually dug out, it is most certainly the same well mentioned in the Gospel of John. The water at the bottom of the well is fed by flowing water, which is why ancients gave it the name of “living water”. It is at this well that Jesus met the Samaritan woman and said to her: "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." Many pilgrims today like to drink from the well. We will continue on towards Jerusalem, passing Shiloh, where the Ark of Covenant was kept and through the beautiful Levonah valley, referred to in Judges as the Valley of the Dancers. Arrive to Jerusalem, check-in to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 7 : Bethlehem - Desert Monasticism

After breakfast will drive to Bethlehem to see the caves at the Shepherds’ Field. The caves have soot marks of the fires that shepherd’s lit to keep warm while watching over their flocks. Then continue to Bethlehem, beginning at Manger Square which stands in front of one of the oldest of Christian churches, the Church of the Nativity. Enter the Church and down to the Grotto of the Nativity which marks the spot of Jesus’ birth. Beneath the Altar, there is a silver star with the Latin inscription: HIC DE VIRGINE MARIA JESUS CHRISTUS NATUS (Here Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary.) In the afternoon, drive through the Judean Wilderness to view the Desert Monasteries of Mar Saba, St. George in Wadi Kelt, and the Monastery on the side of Mt Temptation. It is in this desert that Jesus fasted for 40 days and where thousands of hermit monks lived in the wilderness during the early years of Christianity. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 8 : Temple Mount - Ancient Churches

Today we will explore Jerusalem. At the steps of the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount, ponder the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple, the finding of Jesus at the Temple and the healing of the blind man at the Temple. See the Western Wall of the Temple Mount. Visit the Davidson Centre where you can learn how daily life in Jerusalem in the time of Jesus, revolved around the Temple rituals. Continuing to visit the new City of David excavation, the heart of Biblical Jerusalem, and the Pool of Siloam. Walk through the alleyways of the Old City, and stop at two of the oldest churches in Christendom, St Mark’s Assyrian Orthodox Church and St James Armenian Orthodox Church. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 9 : Jerusalem

This morning will consist of a visit to the Mount of Olives to take in the panoramic view of Jerusalem. While at Gethsemane, we will reflect on Jesus’ final night. The Garden contains trees, which the roots date back to the time of Jesus. Visit the Church of All Nations to pray at the “Rock of Agony,” a section of bedrock identified as the place where Jesus prayed alone in the garden on the night of His arrest. Nearby is the unusual underground Church of the Tomb of Mary. Then up to Mt Zion to visit the Upper Room, and the Church of Peter in Gallicantu. We will end the day with a visit to the David Citadel to enjoy the stunning views over the Old City, and see the fascinating museum of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 10 : Jerusalem: Via Dolorosa - Holy Sepluchre - Emmaus

This morning we start very early, as we make our way to the Via Dolorosa (The Way of the Cross) at the Antonia Fortress, where Jesus was condemned to death by Pontius Pilate. From there, He was taken through the city to be crucified. The Stations of the Cross lead through the markets of the Old City, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Here is the site of Calvary and the Tomb of Christ. Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. In the afternoon, we will make a visit to Abou Ghosh, probably the site of Emmaus, where Jesus appeared to the two Disciples after the Resurrection. Here, visit the lovely Crusader church and meditate in the beautiful gardens tended by the nuns. Drive through the Valley of Elah, mentioned in the Old Testament as where the events of Samson & Delilah and David & Goliath took place. Also, here is the Monastery of Beit Jimal, which dates to the 5th century and is where St Stephen is buried. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Registrations made within 60 days of departure, the passenger will be responsible for the additional Single Supplement fees. TRIPLE ROOMS In most hotels triple accommodation is possible, however, no reduction in cost is available. Due to pace of our pilgrimage schedule its a challenge to open up all 3 suitcases and everyones hand luggage; take showers and be on the move within appropriate time. First Class and Superior Tourist Class Hotels in general are not set up for triple rooms. Hotels usually either add a third bed which is like a fold up bed or a sofa bed. At times such as in Paris a triple room is considered two twin beds and a rollaway, or worse its the Murphy bed. For that reason we discourage booking triple rooms.

Hotel Check In

  • Check in at hotels is 2PM. 206 Tours requests for early check in, however, all is pending on hotel the day of arrival. Therefore, if your flight arrives early in the morning your room may not be ready for check in. In this instance you may leave your luggage in a secured area with hotel staff and enjoy some free time to explore, perhaps indulge in a local breakfast.

Private Rooms and Single Supplement

  • A limited number of single rooms is available (on request basis only) at the supplement price. Single rooms provide privacy, but they are in some hotels smaller than twin or double rooms and sometimes may be poorly located, especially in the older hotels. As a general ratio we are able to confirm 10% of the total number of group participants in single rooms. If ratio is higher special supplements may be implemented for something referred to "single in double room" at an additional rate to the single supplement rate listed.

Meals

  • 206 Tours pilgrimages include breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, or breakfast and dinner daily (refer to website or brochure "your trip includes"). Although we cannot guarantee, we will try to accommodate all special meal request.

Baggage

  • Each tour participant is permitted to bring one checked suitcase, one small carry on bag (8" x 14" x 22"), and one personal item (i.e. purse, laptop case). In general, the airlines permit 1 checked bag weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and maximum dimensions of 62 in (158 cm) calculated by adding the length + the width + the height of the bag. Please check with your specific airline to verify the size and weight allowances. 206 Tours is not responsible for the loss of, theft of, delay, or damage to a participant's belongings.

Responsibility Clause

  • 206 Tours acts as a tour operator. The suppliers providing transportation, sightseeing arrangements and hotel accommodations for the tour program are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of 206 Tours. All coupons, receipts and tickets issued are subject to the terms and conditions specified by suppliers. By utilizing the service of the suppliers, you agree that 206 Tours will not be liable for any change in flight or itinerary schedule, strikes, delay, acts of governments, fires, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantine, medical or customs regulations, accident, loss, injury, or damage to you or to those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or any other services or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrence or conditions beyond its control, including defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, thefts, delay or cancellation of or changes in itinerary for any act, omission, or event during the time you are on board the aircraft. Neither 206 Tours and/or agents of the airlines concerned are to be held responsible for the late arrival of passengers at airports or hotels due to inclement weather, nor are they to be held liable for payment or any refund for transfers or unused hotel accommodations or meals occasioned by such late arrivals at the hotels holding rooms as confirmed itineraries. Passengers must bear all such losses or expenses. To guard against unforeseen health or other circumstances, we recommend you purchase our optional insurances. 206 Tours is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control. In circumstances where trip cancellations resulting from the inability for trip to depart as scheduled, such as cancellations due to acts of war and/or terrorism, war, God, or nature takes place, 206 Tours is not liable for restitution. Though every effort will be made to follow the itinerary, it should be considered as an indication of the tour, rather than a contract of places to be visited. Occasionally local religious holidays, national days, traffic conditions and other events may necessitate changes in the sequence of visits or the missing of certain visits. We will have daily Mass and strive to be in places as indicated. However, sometimes this is not possible as the site may not be available for Mass or itinerary changes are forced upon us. In this case an alternative site for Mass will be arranged..

  • Special Medical Conditions Those Who Need Special Assistance

  • You must report any disability requiring special attention to 206 Tours at the time of registration for any tour. We make every effort to accommodate disabled passengers by reserving for them wheelchair assistance at airports and handicap accessible rooms where available, however, we cannot guarantee and are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Be aware that all of our tours are operated outside the U.S. where the Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. Most transportation services, including the touring motor coaches, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps or lifts. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to any tour participant for walking, dining, while in their room, on flight, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion(s) must accompany passengers who need special assistance. It is the passenger Traveler's responsibility to arrange for such assistance prior to making their reservations. Motorized scooters are unsuitable and impossible to accommodate. 206 Tours is not responsible for any medical condition that occurs prior, during or after the tour. Additionally, airlines are not able to guarantee or provide assistance for disabled passengers including special seating. Pregnancy, Breast-Feeding, and Pregnant women considering international should be advised to evaluate the potential problems associated with international as well as the quality of medical care available at the destination and during transit. A pregnant woman is advised to with at least one companion; during her pregnancy, her level of comfort may be adversely affected by traveling.

  • Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult. Due to heightened security, many countries have adopted practices to prevent international abductions of children. If a child will be traveling with adults other than the parents or with only one parent, it is recommended that a notarized letter be written by the parents or non-traveling parent granting authorization to including the dates of . We also suggest that you contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional requirements. For the purposes of 206 Tours trips an infant is defined as anyone who is under the age of 24 months for the entire duration of their trip. A child is defined as any one between the ages of 24 months and 11 years for the entire duration of their trip.
