Day 1 : Paro to Thimphu
The most comfortable way to Bhutan is flying to Paro. Once you walk out of the Paro International Airport, a tour representative will welcome you and take you on a road trip to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The route spans for 55 km. On the way, you will be taken to Chuzom, a cultural destination found at the spot where Paro River and Thimphu River joins.
Once you reach Thimphu, you will be checked into a hotel. After a brief rest, you will start the sightseeing in the city. Thimphu is the center of commerce, religion, and administration of Bhutan. This is also the only capital in the world without a single traffic light.
The first site you will be visit the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of Glorious Religion). This is the site of the seat of Chief Abbot, Monarch’s throne room, and other significant importance. It was built in 17th century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namyal and was rebuilt in 20th century without using a single nail.
After that, you will be driven to King’s Memorial Chorten.
King’s Memorial Chorten is a famous religious destination, where you can find pilgrims and locals circumambulating as they murmur chant and spin the prayer wheels. The next destination is the Textile Museum, which holds displays of local dresses, textiles, weaving techniques, and so on.
The last site to enjoy in Thimphu during this itinerary is the Folk Heritage Museum, which holds exhibits of rural life, folk heritage, and others, including educational programs, demonstrations, and so on.
Later, you will be taken on a walking exploration tour through the market regions and Main Street of the city. Back to the hotel.

Day 2 : Kunselphodrang Buddha Point, Simply Bhutan, Takin Zoo, then to Dochula enroute to Paro
After breakfast, you will be driven via road to Kuensel Phodrang aka Buddha Point. It holds the largest statue of Buddha in Bhutan and gives a panoramic view of the valleys around it. After exploring and praying to the statue, you will be driven to Simply Bhutan.
The last site to enjoy in Thimphu during this itinerary is the Takin Zoo.
After lunch, you will check out of the hotel and take a road trip to Dochula enroute to Paro, which stretches for 90 minutes. After checking into a Paro hotel, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour to Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower, which is now converted into a National Museum.
Later, you will embark a walking tour to Rinpung Dzong, the fortress of heap of jewels. This historic structure is famous for its architectural beauty.
Reach Paro.
Overnight stay at hotel in Paro.
Day 3 : Hiking to Paro Taktshang
After breakfast, the sightseeing tour of Thimphu starts with an excursion to the Tiger Nest Monastery or Taktsang Monastery. This is a very sacred monastery built over a side of a 900m tall cliff. Every Bhutanese wish to visit this monastery once during his lifetime.
In the evening, you will be taken on a drive through the valley to Drukgyel Dzong. This 17th century fortress is now in ruins. Around the structure, you can find Bhutanese farmhouses to explore.
On the way back to Paro, you will visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th century temple, which was built by Tibetan ruler, Songtsen Gampo.
Evening is spent in Paro by exploring the city center or in shopping. Reach Paro hotel to stay overnight.
Day 4 : Paro (Departure)
In the morning after early breakfast we will see you off, with sweet memories cherishing ever in the heart, at the Paro Airport for your onward destinations. Good Luck
