River Expedition On The Ganges:

A self contained multi-day river adventure down the Alaknanda river. This is a rafting experience which is complete with chilled out camping and action packed rapids. The trip is conducted in a self supported manner, implying that all the camping gear/rations etc is transferred along with the expedition team in cargo rafts. We would setup camps on isolated beaches, and would move on the next day after winding up camp and ensuring that we do not leave any trace of our presence behind. This mode of camp stay is most eco-friendly as there is minimum disturbance/impact to wildlife and environment.

Cost Per Person Per Day Rs: 2800.00 Include All Tax.What is NOT included in our services? Train fares, Insurance of any kind, expenses of personal nature, alcoholic drinks, any kind transportation from Delhi to Haridwar and back to Delhi, anything not mentioned in the above schedule/program.

What has to be brought by the participant?
Personal torch, quick drying clothes/swimming costume for rafting, waterproof floater kind of sandals with a securable back strap, retainer strap for shades or prescription glasses, cameras, sun protection/block cream, moisturiser, change of clothing to wear after rafting, towel, toilet kit etc. Warm clothing would be needed from mid oct to mid march.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar - Srinagar

  Early morning pickup from Haridwar / Rishikesh. Transfer by road to Srinagar ( 4 hrs) and night stay in Hotel.
• Day 2 : Srinagar - Bagwan

  Early morning after breakfast we run down Srinagar to Bagwan. A short river runs today across easy to moderate rapids. Camp is established at a beach near Bagwan.

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast
• Day 3 : Bagwan - Beas Ghat

  Break camp in morning, and proceed with the river journey. Today we would encounter exciting whitewater section. Paddle across the confluence of Bhagirathi with Alaknanda at Deoprayag. From this place the river is christened as Ganga. Beyond Deoprayag, it is an easy float section to arrive at a beautiful beach called Beas Ghat. Setup camp here. Beas Ghat is huge beach which is fringed with forest on one side and the river on the other.

  • Hotspots Deoprayag
• Day 4 : Beas Ghat - Kaudiyala

  Today we would paddle towards Kaudiyala, We would raft further to negotiate a class III/IV rapid called Wall. After this rapid most of the remaining rapids would be moderate, and we would setup camp at Kaudiyala.
• Day 5 : Kaudiyala to Shivpuri

  After breakfast, the camp is winded up, and everything is packed in dry bags. The rafts are once again put into the water to continue our river journey. Apart from Wall, Today we would run several exciting class III kind of rapids like "Blind Mice".

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast
• Day 6 : Shivpuri - Rishikesh - Haridwar

  After breakfast, the camp is winded up, and everything is packed in dry bags. The rafts are once again put into the water to continue our river journey. Apart from Wall, Today we would run several exciting class III kind of rapids like "Roller Coaster" and "Golf Course". We would finish our trip near the temple town of Rishikesh and transfer to Haridwar railway station and train back to Delhi Tour End.
