Narkanda is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kumarsain subdivision of Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an elevation of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet Road in Himachal Pradesh, India within a fir forest. It is about 60 km away from Shimla and surrounded by the Himalayan Range.Sangla is a town in the Baspa Valley, also referred to as the Sangla valley, in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh, India, close to the Tibetan border. Kalpa is a small village in the Sutlej river valley, above Reckong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalaya. Inhabited by Kinnauri people and known for its apple orchards. Apples are a major cash-crop for the region.Kaza also spelled Kaze, Karze, Karzey, is a town and the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.SHIMLA : Shimla, also known as Simla, is the capital city of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The city is up in the mountains at around 2,200 metres (approximately 7,234 feet). The colonial architecture and churches, the temples, and the natural environment of the city attracts tourists. Major city centre’s attractions include the Shri Hanuman Jakhu (Statue), Jakhu Temple, Viceregal Lodge, Christ Church, Mall Road, The Ridge and Annadale. The city centre’s northern most point is Jakhoo and the southern most location is Annadale, and the easternmost point is Sanjauli and western point is Chotta Shimla. The Kalka–Shimla Railway line built by the British, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also a major tourist attraction. In shimla snow capped shivalik mountain ranges offering some stunning views of the mighty Himalayas ,it is surrounded by pine deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Towards the north lie the snow-covered high-ranges, while the valleys breathe whispering streams and swaying fields. Shimla offers a variety of shopping, sport and entertainment activities.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chandigarh - Narkanda

  After you arrive at the Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station, our representative will drive you to Narkanda (8 hours). The journey begins here and you get to visit some beautiful villages along the way such as Fagu, Theog, Matiana, Narkanda, and the Apple orchards around the region. Upon reaching, check into your hotel in Narkanda and overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 2 : Narkanda-Sangla

  After breakfast, drive for Sangla.Visit Sainj, Rampur, Jeori and Wangtu bridge en route to Sangla.Check in to the hotel post-arrival .Visit the Kamru fort if time permits.Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.

• Day 3 : Sangla - Chitkul - Sangla (40 kilometers in approximately 3 hours)

  After breakfast, explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam. After lunch, leave for an excursion to Chitkul the last Village on old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through the green orchards, by a brilliant stream. As the day falls, return to your hotel in Sangla for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 4 : Sangla - Kalpa (49 kilometers in approximately 4 hours)

  After breakfast this morning, check-out from your hotel and drive to Kalpa. 2670 meters above the sea level, Kalpa is the district headquarter of Kinnaur and was once the favorite getaway of Lord Dalhousie. On reaching Kalpa, check-in to your Hotel. Once known as Chini, little has changed in Kalpa in the last 500 years. Legend has it that when Lord Dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in Shimla, he would come here on his Horseback. By the side of Kalpa is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivling that changes the colour as the day passes and is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. After lunch, rest in your hotel for a while. In the evening, visit the Buddhist Gompa - Hu Bu Lan Kar. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 5 : Kalpa Sightseeing

  Early morning, enjoy the Sunrise over Kinner Kailash Peaks. Kalpa is famous for its apples & chilgoza plantations. The tree belongs to the Pine Family & the fruit is in about an inch long, in soft cover. After breakfast, visit the local School & Narayan Nagini Temple Complex, which has Shrines of Hindu, Buddhist and local Deities. After lunch, go for an excursion trip to Roghi Village to get closer to the ‘Pahari’ way of Life as you mingle with the locals. Later return to your hotel in Kalpa for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 6 : Kaza - Pin Valley - Mudh - Kaza

  After enjoying your morning meal depart for an excursion trip to Pin Valley, Kungri Monastery & Mudh. After rejoicing such an interesting outing return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 7 : Kaza Local Sightseeing

  After Breakfast visit Sightseeing at Kaza. Visit Kibber village, Kye Monastery , Dhankar Monastery. OverNight stay at Kaza.

• Day 8 : Kaza - Langza – Kornik – Kibber – Kaza

  Enjoy a delicious morning meal and get ready for one of its kind trip. Discover fossils of marine life at Langza, receive blessings in Kornik Monastry and witness local culture at Gette and kibber. At last it is time to return to Kaza for a relaxing Overnight stay.
