Day 1 : AIRPORT/KANDALAMA (Approx. 03 ½ hours drive – about 140 KM )
Arrive in Sri Lanka. You will be met by a representative of VPI Tour & Travels and transferred to Kandalama.
Candle light Dinner at Hotel.
Overnight stay in Heritance Kandalama .
Day 2 : KANDALAMA
AM Elephant back ride.
A ride atop the back of the most magnificent and majestic creature of all time will transport you back to a simpler, yet grander time of Kings, Queens and Kingdoms. Once atop these ‘Gentle Giants,’ visitors will be able to take in the lush green serenity of the woodlands, the soothing sound of babbling brooks and simplicity of rustic village life.

Day 3 : KANDALAMA/TRINCOMALEE (Approx 03 hours drive–about 100KM)
AM After breakfast leave for visit Trincomalee.
Trincomalee City Tour.
A sight-seeing tour of Trincomalee will include a visit to Fort Fredrick , built in 1624 the fort remains formidable to this day. Currently used as an army garrison, entrance to the fort is monitored, however you are given the opportunity to either walk or drive into the fort and visit the famous Koneswaram Temple, built atop ‘Swamy Rock’, a rocky promontory cape overlooking Trincomalee.
The shrine is believed to have existed at least 2400 years, although a 17th century AD stone inscription at the temple gives it date of birth as circa 1580 BC, Visit the World War 2 cemetery situated on a slope facing the Trincomalee-Nilaweli road, it is on a beautiful site backed by trees and is well maintained. The individual graves are arranged in rows and marked by rectangular headstones with the inscription of the name, national or regimental badge, rank, division and date deceased.

Day 4 : TRINCOMALEE
AM After Breakfast leave for visit Pigeon Island for Snorkeling.
Pigeon Island National Park consists of two small islands off the east coast north of Trincomalee. The island gets its name from Blue Rock Pigeon, a native endangered bird who lives within the rocks in these islands. The islands were declared a sanctuary in 1963 for the purpose of protecting these birds. In 2003 this area was upgraded to the status of a National Park and the boundaries were extended to include coral reef around them. The islands are situated about 1 km off the Nilaveli coast in Trincomalee District.

The Jungle Beach stable offers a selection of mounts suitable for riders of all ages and levels of ability. For guests with no previous experience, the learn to ride course offers a six-lesson course in the basics of horsemanship. For those familiar with horses, a number of excursions and other activities are on offer. All equestrian activities are conducted or accompanied by trained staff members who are experienced horsemen.

Day 5 : TRINCOMALEE / COLOMBO (Approx. 06 hours drive – about 270 KM )
AM After breakfast leave for visit Colombo.
Late afternoon arrives in Colombo.
Colombo, the largest city in Sri Lanka, is the commercial capital and located on the west coast of the island. Due to its large harbour and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was well known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. It was made the capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815 and its status as capital was retained when the nation became independent in 1948. The city is a mish mash of colonial style buildings, commercial high rises, hotels and of course the glorious ocean front known as ‘Galle Face Green.’ Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times are still preserved in a part of the city known as ‘The Fort.’ Among the top sites to visit whilst in Colombo are Independence Square, Galle Face Hotel (which is the country’s oldest hotel built in 1868) and the adjoining Galle Face Green, The Fort, the bustling streets of Pettah, Town Hall and the Parliament building in Kotte.

Day 6 : COLOMBO / BENTOTA (Approx. 03 hours drive – about 75 KM )
AM After Breakfast leave for visit Bentota.
Check in to Hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner & Overnight stay at Bentota.
Day 7 : BENTOTA
Breakfast at the Hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Vivanta by Taj at Bentota.
Day 8 : BENTOTA / AIRPORT (Approx. 02 ½ hours drive – about 110 KM )
Morning transfer to the airport for departure.
