Day 1 : Arrival Leh
Transfer to the Domestic Airport for Our Flight to Leh. Arrive At Leh, Transfer to the Guest House. Spend the Day At Complete Leisure to Get You Fully Acclimatized to the Altitude. Stay the Night At a Hotel / Guest House in Leh. (3500 M)
Day 2 : Drive Leh–Alchi – Likir–Leh
Today You Will Enjoy the Awesome View of the Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River, Beautiful Villages and Landscape of the Valley with Magnificent Mountains. in the Morning After Breakfast, Visit Alchi, Situated At a Distance of 68 Km from Leh. Alchi Monastery Was Built By Great Lama Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo (the Great Translator) 1000 Years Ago and is Considered to Be the Most Famous and Largest among the Entire Monasteries Built By Him. En Route Visit Likir Monastery, After the Visit, We Return to Leh. On Way Back You Will Enjoy the Awe Inspiring and Spectacular View of the Lunar Landscape Across the Village. Arrive At Leh By Late Afternoon. Stay the Night At Hotel / Guest House.
Day 3 : Sightseeing tour to Stok Palace–Matho Monastery–Shanti Stupa – Sankar Gompa
After breakfast, drive to Stok via Choglamsar by crossing a bridge on the river Indus. In Stok, visit the royal palace of the present king and queen which was constructed by King Tsespal Tondup Namgyal in 1825. Inside the palace, you see a great collection of ancient royal ornaments, Thankas and old statues. After visiting Stok Palace, drive to Matho village, 10 km from Stok. Visit Matho monastery built by Lama Tumgpa Dorje in the 13th century. The famous two oracles (known as Rongtsan), who were invited from Tibet by the founder of this monastery, still make an appearance during the festival of the monastery. After visiting Matho, drive back to Leh. Post Lunch, visit Shanti Stupa that depicts four events in the life of Buddha and was inaugurated by H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama in 1985. Later on, visit the Samkar Monastery in Leh. Stay the night stay at a hotel /guest house in Leh.
Day 4 : Drive Leh–Thiksey–Hemis–Rumtse (80 km)
In the Morning, After Breakfast, We Drive to Rumtse, Which is Located At a Distance of 80 Km East of Leh. Today, Your Whole Journey Will Be in the Car On Leh–manali Highway. En Route Visit Thiksay Monastery, 20 Km East of Leh. this Monastery is the Oldest Monastery of the Gelukpa Sect of Mahayana Buddhism in Ladakh. the Great Lama Paldan Sherap Built in the 14th Century. Inside the Monastery You Can See the Immense Statue of the Matriya Buddha (future Buddha), Wall Paintings, Thankas (fresco Paintings), and Various Statues of Bodhisattvas and Sacred Shrines. After Visiting Thiksay Monastery, Drive to Hemis Monastery By Crossing Indus River At Kharu Village Towards the South. Hemis is Located 25 Km from Thiksay. the Great Mahasidha Stagtsan Raspa Along with Great Ancestor Singe Namgyal Built this Biggest Monastery in the 16th Century. After Visiting this Monastery, Drive Back to Kharu and Then Continue Your Journey Eastwards On the Highway. have Lunch At Upshi. Take the Leh–manali Highway Up to Rumtse Village. En Route You Find Several Remote Villages of the Leh District such as Gya and Meru. After Gya Village, Arrive At Rumtse. Stay the Night At Camp in Rumtse Village. (4160m)
Day 5 : Trek Rumtse–Chorten Sumdo (4 ½ hrs)
After Breakfast Start Your First Day of Trekking Through a Beautiful Colorful Gorge. After Few Minutes of Walking from Camp, We Cross the First River and Walk Along Another Riverside and Continue Along the Left Side of the River. Again We Cross the Same River Towards the Right Side and Continue Along the Left of the Valley. It’s An Easy Walk Up to the Sumda Chenmo. Where There is Greenery and a Beautiful Camping Site with a Number of Marmots. Stay the Night At Camp. (4520m)
Day 6 : Trek Chorten Sumdo–Kyamari–la (51800m)–Mandalchan–la (5170m)–Titsaling (6 hrs)
We Start the Trek Earlier to Cross Kyamari–la and Manba–la Passes. Its An Easy Walk for One Hour Then An Ascent Towards Kyamar–la (5180 M). From the Top of the Pass You Can See the Gorgeous View of the Chain of Kangyatse Snow Covered Peak (6400 M) and the Chain of Indus Valley. After Crossing this Pass, Take the Right Hand Side and Descend Towards the Summer Camp. Here Again, An Easy Ascent to the Mandalchan–la Pass (5170 M). From the Top, You have Fantastic Views of Different Mountains with Picturesque White Peaks. Then We Descend to the Camp. Stay the Night At Camp. (4950m)
Day 7 : Trek Titsaling–Shingbuk–la (5230m) – Pangunagu/Tsokar Lake (6hrs)
Today, you have only one pass to cross. After breakfast, we start the ascent towards the Shingbuk–la pass (5230 m). From the top, you can see the panoramic view of Tsokar Lake, surrounding mountains and the Rupshu valley. At the end of the valley, you will be able to see a herd of wild Ass (Skyang). Turn right side and ascend for 20 minutes. Here you can see the full view of the Tsokar Lake and the winter camp of the nomad people of Changthang. Stay the night at camp. (4590m) Tsokar Lake is approximately 95 km. northwest of the Tsomoriri Lake at a height of (4,590m). It is also called “White Lake” because of the salt deposited around it– this is because there is no outlet from the lake which makes the water brackish. In ancient times, the salt from the lake used to be taken out and sold all over Ladakh and Kashmir by the local nomads known as the Changpas. Tsokar Lake is breeding grounds for a variety of birds among them the bar–headed goose, the great crested grebe, the Brahmin duck and the brown headed gull.
Day 8 : Trek Panganagu–Nuruchan (5 ½ Hours)
Today You have Easy Trek Along the Lake On Right Side. On the Way You Can See Many Birds and Wild Ass’ (skyang) of Ladakh and the Tibetan Plateau. After Leaving the Lake Behind, You Turn Towards Right Side and Enter the Nuruchan Village with a Beautiful Camping Site Near the Stream. Stay the Night At Camp. (4660m)
Day 9 : Trek Nuruchan–Horlam–la (4900m)–Rachungkaru (4 ½ Hours)
Today You have a Small Pass Horlam–la (4900m) to Cross. It is An Easy Ascent and Takes 50 Minutes. After Crossing the Pass You Reach Rachungkaru Where You Find a Nomadic Camp of Tibetan Refugees. In Rachungkaru, You Can Interact with the Nomads and Can See the Life Style of the Nomadic People. In this Area They have Plenty of Yaks, Sheep and Pashmina Goats. Stay the Night At Camp. (4900m)
Day 10 : Trek Rachungkaru–Kyamayuri–la (5430m)–Kartse–la (5380m)–Gyama (6Hours)
From our camp you have to walk through the camp of the nomadic people. From the nomadic area it’s a steep ascent to Kyamayuri–la (5300m). It is easy to ascend and takes about one hour to reach the top of the pass. From the pass; you can see splendid landscapes, of the Tsokar Korzok area. Easy descent to the summer pasture of Tibetan refugee camp, called Gyama Burma. And on the right side there is another small pass Kartse–la (5000m), cross and easy descent then arrive in Gyama, nomadic camp. Beautiful camping site, stay the night at camp. (5180m)
Day 11 : Trek Gyama–Yarlung Nyau–la (5440m)–Korzok (7 Hrs)
In the Morning, After Breakfast Continue Trek to Korzok. Today We have One Pass to Cross. Very Easy Ascent Right from the Camp Up to the Top of the Pass Yarlung Nyaula (5440m) Continue Along the Small Stream Towards North–east Bearing in the Valley and It Takes One and Half Hours to Reach the Top. Steep But Easy Descent and Then Arrive At Korzok Phu (nomadic Camp). You Still have More Than 30 Minutes of Trek from Here, Pass the Korzok Phu and Continue Along the Small River Up to Korzok with Tsomoriri Lake. Arrive At Camp. In the Evening if Time Permits Then Visit Korzok Monastery or have a Walk Around the Lake. Stay the Night At Camp. (4620m) Tsomoriri Lake Located in the Changthang (northern Plains) Area, is a High Altitude Lake with An Altitude of 4620m, It is the Largest of the High Altitude Lakes in the Trans–himalayan Biogeographic Region, Entirely Within India. It is 23 Km Long and 4 to 5 Km Wide and is Hemmed Between Ladakh in the North, Tibet in the East and Zanskar in the West; the Changthang Plateau is the Geographical Setting with Snow Peaks that Provide the Source of Water for the Lake. Accessibility to the Lake is Limited to the Summer Season Only. Tsomoriri Lake is also a Breeding Ground for a Variety of Birds among Them the Bar–headed Goose, the Great Crested Grebe, the Brahmin Duck and the Brown Headed Gull.
Day 12 : Drive Korzok–Leh (230km– 7/8 hrs)
After Breakfast, Drive to Leh. It is 230 Km from Korzok and It Takes 7 to 8 Hours. En Route You Can See the Hot Spring in Chumathang. This Spring Water is Considered to Be Medicinal Water and the People of Ladakh Come Here to Cure Joint/rheumatic Diseases By Taking a Bath in the Water. Stay the Night At a Hotel/guest House in Leh.
Day 13 : In Leh
Spend the day at complete leisure. Stay the night at the Hotel/Guest House in Leh.
Day 14 : Leh Depart
Early in the morning transfer to Leh Airport to fly to Delhi.
