Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

  A tour guide from AA SAFARIS AND TOURS LTD will pick you up from your hotel or the airport and head for a city tour in Kigali the capital city of Rwanda. Visit the Kigali genocide memorial centre where over 1 million people were killed in 100 days are remembered. The centers do not provides all examples of genocidal slaughter but it give information about the genocide. Have lunch and head to Parc National Des Volcanoes famous for the rare mountain gorillas. View the amazing terraced hillside until the bottom of the beautiful Virunga volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at

• Day 2 : Gorilla Tracking

  Take your breakfast at the lodge and then you will be driven or escorted to the Volcanoes national park headquarters by the company guide for a short briefing about your Gorilla Trekking tour before sloping into the forest to start tracking the gorillas. The search will depend on where the gorillas were last seen and how near their food is. The chances of seeing gorillas are 95% and the 5% is for your fitness. On encountering the gorillas, you are given one hour with them. It is an amazing experience to encounter the only few world’s left mountain Gorillas . You will take pictures of them, see how they play, feed their young ones. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

• Day 3 : Golden Monkey Tracking

  Have your breakfast then report at the ranger station for briefing at the Volcanoes national park headquarters about your golden monkey trekking tour in Parc Des Volcanoes. With the company of the park rangers head into the forest and start searching for these beautiful apes. Golden monkey trekking is an encounter that one preparing to trek gorillas in Rwanda, Uganda or Congo must deem. Small but great-the golden monkey weighs about 10-25 pounds and has a golden body, cheeks and tail and has complementary black limbs, crown and tail-end. Miniature is presently known about the environmental requirements of the golden monkey, and the subspecies populaces have never been determined. Living in the supercilious montane Virungas forests with its great ape relatives, this primate faces some of the same threats as gorillas, including snares set for small antelopes, human encroachment and people entering their habitat to collect wood. • Day 4 : Optional Golden Monkey Trek or Dian Fossey or Transfer to Kigali

  One this day before you head to Kigali, you can go Golden monkey tracking if it wasn’t done the day before or visit the Diane Fossey grave. The famous American Gorillas research established the Karisoke Research Center in Rwanda’s Virungas Mountains in 1967, to guard and study the endangered mountain gorillas. While advocating for protection of the mountain gorillas, she was murdered by an unknown poacher. Although Fossey ’s life was cut short, her work has inexorably continued through the Karisoke Research Center and developed into conservation efforts for other wildlife and programs for people who live near the few left mountain gorillas. The Karisoke Research Center has brought international awareness and foundation to the predicament of the mountain gorilla and linked local communities with gorilla conservation through partnerships, education, and health and development projects. Scientist and researcher still have access to a 40-year database of information about gorilla life, conduct, locale and protection, one of the longest-running primate studies. Have lunch and head to the airport reaching in time for the departure flight.
