Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Amritsar

  Arrive Amritsar where you will be greeted, transferred to your hotel and assisted with check-in. This afternoon visit
  
  the Wagah Border to witness the Flag Ceremony, the closing of the border between India and Pakistan. A Patriotic but fun filled ceremony. Stay at Country Inn & Suites for two nights.

• Day 2 : Amritsar

  This morning take a guided tour of Amritsar to see the famous Golden Temple, visit Jallian Wallah Bagh, a memorial garden and Durgiana Temple. The afternoon is free to explore Amritsar Market. In the evening, visit the Golden Temple again to view the Palaki Sahib Ceremony.

• Day 3 : Amritsar - Pragpur by road 06 Hrs

  This morning drive up into the Kangra Valley amidst the foothills to Pragpur (6 Hrs). later this afternoon you will walk around the village and visit the 300 Year Old ancestral home of the Kuthiala Soods. Stay at The Judge’s court for two nights.

• Day 4 : In Pragpur

  Morning sightseeing of Siba Temple with its treasure of Kangra Paintings and murals on the Inner walls. Your afternoon is at leisure to relax at the hotel or visit the famous Shaktipeeths Jawalamukhi temple where a holy flame is kept alight.

• Day 5 : Pragpur - Dharamsala by road 02 Hrs

  Drive to Dharamsala (2 Hrs). home to his holiness, the Daliai Lama. En route visit Kangra Fort, Brajeshwari temple and the colourful Kangra Market. This evening take a Kora walk with your guide, a 30 Minute walk around the temple where you will see the monks and nuns praying and chanting mantras while walking. Stay at Surya hotel for two nights.

• Day 6 : In Dharamsala

  Today enjoy a guided tour of Dharamsala visiting Gompas, the Tibet Museum and the Library of Tibetan Works and Achives. During the afternoon visit the Norbulungka institute wood and metal craft, silk weaving and thangka paintings are kept alive.

• Day 7 : Dharamsala - Taragarh by road 02 Hrs

  Drive to Taragarh (2 Hrs), visiting the artist village at Andreta en route. After arriving in Taragarh spent the afternoon visiting the Vaidyanath temple at Baijnath, the jewellery shops at Paprola and the Tashgarh Monastery. Stay at Taragarh Palace overnight.

• Day 8 : Taragarh - Shimla by road 08 Hrs

  Early morning drive to Shimla (8 Hrs). Sit back and admire the spectacular scenery stopping en route at Mandi, renowned for its 81 old stone temples and their enormous range of fine carving as well as its old palaces and notable examples of ‘colonial’ architecture; before continuing on to Shimla. Stay at Hotel Radisson for three nights.

• Day 9 : In Shimla

  Today you will have a guided tour of Shimla. Visit the Viceregal Lodge. Where the British Raj ruled India in the summer months and where the partition of India was planned. Later enjoy a leisure stroll back along the Mall to Scandal Point.

  Full day at leisure.

• Day 11 : Shimla - Delhi (Shimla - Solan by toy train / Kalka - Delhi by Kalka Shatbdi)

  Morning toy train ride from Shimla to Solan where you will be met and transferred by road to Barog and then taken to Kalka Railway station for your evening train journey to Delhi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Stay at The Hans for two nights.
