Beautiful islands with majestic mountains, stunning bird cliffs and probably the cleanest, freshest air in the world. Take in the scenery, the freshly prepared meals on board and enjoy the last two nights in a cosy hotel in the capital Tórshavn.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Arrival at Vágar airport and shuttle service to Sørvágur where the sailboat Enniway will be awaiting you with a nice meal to be served shortly after getting on board. You can spend the evening getting comfortable on board or taking walks around the village or to the nearby village of Bøur which has a great view of Tindhólmur and the island Mykines.

• Day 2 : Set sail!

  Sailing by the islands Vágoy, Hestur and Koltur. Here you will get the chance to see the birdcliffs and caves up close. A dingy will take you all the way into the big cave where the captain will play a concert on the trumpet. The sound which travels for 13 seconds in the cave, the waves breaking and the light and colour all combine to create a once in a lifetime, beautiful, atmospheric experience. The captain has many talents and will also prepare your lunch and dinner onboard. Overnight stay on the boat at the harbour in Hestur, a village with only 30 inhabitants and a great hiking opportunity to the top of the island.

• Day 3 : Meet the Locals

  You will sail past Sandoy to the small island of Stóra Dímun, where only two families live. The local farmer will guide you around the island which has rich wildlife and stunning views of the neighbouring islands. After four hours ashore the journey continues to Nólsoy. Meet the ornithologist and taxi dermist Jens Kjeld who will guide a night trip to the world's largest colony of Storm-Petrel, a beautiful small bird, flying only at night.

• Day 4 : The Lighthouse Hike

  Late morning guided hike to the lighthouse at Borðan, built in 1893. The sailboat will be awaiting you at Borðan, serving fish soup and sailing you along the east coast of Nólsoy past the bird cliffs and then set the course for Tórshavn,the capital of the Faroe Islands. Dinner is served onboard, before you check in at the hotel in Tórshavn.

• Day 5 : Explore Tórshavn

  You will have a full day to explore Tórshavn on your own or take a tour with a local guide. The city offers historical buildings and sites, traditional as well as modern architecture, good shopping opportunities, a rich cultural life and many cafes and restaurants. Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 6 : Departure

  Hotel breakfast and shuttle to the airport.
