Samburu National Reserve is not very well-known, but definitely worth a visit. It is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like elephant, lion, giraffe and zebra from the surrounding savannah plains. Leopards are also regularly spotted. The reserve is not particularly well-known and is therefore not too crowded - a huge plus in Kenya where so many reserves are often overflowing with tourists. It is often grouped together with the Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves as they lie so close together.
Aberdare National Park was created in 1950 to protect the forested slopes and moors of the Aberdare Mountains. The park has elephant, lion, rhino, black leopard and the beautiful but elusive bongo antelope. Both Treetops and The Ark are built above the ground beside floodlit waterholes with salt licks. Visitors must book in advance and cannot make their own way to the lodges in private vehicles. Instead check-in is at the Aberdare Country club for The Ark and the Outspan Hotel for Treetops, from where guests are bused to their respective lodges. Treetops is one of Kenya\\\'s most famous hotels - this is where British Princess Elizabeth was informed that she had become Queen in 1952 on news of her father\\\'s death.
Amboseli National Park is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Lions, Cheetah to Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is available as this is the home of the Masai people. Here you learn about their tribal social systems, customs and the place of the Masai in today\\\'s Africa. The residents live in their Manhattan, or village, much as they have for centuries and a visit gives you the opportunity to see the interior of these mud-hut homes, spotless and unadorned, contrasted with the Masai themselves, bedecked with brilliantly colored beads and cloths.
The combined area of Tsavo East and West National Parks makes Tsavo one of the world\\\'s largest game sanctuaries, covering an area of more than 20,000 km2. Tsavo West has more than 2,000 km. of well-maintained murram roads that lead from one natural wonder to another. Chief among these ranks the marvel of Mzima Springs, replenished with twenty million liters of crystal-clear water a day from the underground streams of the nearby Chyulu Hills. The springs form a haven for many different animal species. Tiptoeing across the bottom, apparently weightless, we find the surprisingly light-footed but ponderous hippo. Crocodiles bask in the heat of the day taking an occasional swirl in the water while gazelle, giraffe and zebra wander around the banks through thick acacia, among hundreds of chattering birds.Personal expenses such traveling insurance, excess baggage fee, communication charges that include, laundry, emails, faxes and phone calls beverages including luxury champagne, luxury spirits, beer, wines during meals or meals not indicated in the itinerary.

Ashford Tours and Travel Ltd was established in 2001 as an incoming tour company as well as outbound Travel Agent based in Kenya.
Over the past years the company grew by leaps and bounds and today it is one of the leading tour operators in Kenya also offering Air Ticket arrangements to its growing number of clients across the World. Our trademark has all along been efficiency and personalized services to the clients. In order to attain the distinguished brand services, Ashford Travel had to invest substantially in the following areas:
Our main office is based in Twiga Towers, Muranga Road off Moi Avenue in Nairobi. Besides the main office in Nairobi, Ashford Travel maintains a branch office in Mombasa with a fleet of vehicles to cater for our Airport transfers and tours and travel requirements and facilitate. We have an affiliate office in Dar es Salaam to operate tours and travel services in Southern Tanzania, which include the game parks of Selous, Ruaha and Mikumi, and beach holidays on the Indian Ocean coastline. We have our own customer service staff in Zanzibar to personally look after our clients’ needs on the islands. We are maintaining these offices in the key tourist centres simply to ensure personal attention to our guests.
We have Installed Galileo Air Ticket booking systems to facilitate easy and efficient services to our customers inquiring about Air Travel. Our qualified staff will offer the most convenient flight schedule with the best available Air fares. Our staff will also provide information on destinations including visa requirements. Where required, we always deliver Air tickets to our customers’ offices. Our offices are equipped with state-of-the-art communication equipments to facilitate contacts with our customers and suppliers. This includes 24 hours internet connection and modern computers. HF radio communication systems are also installed to establish constant contact from vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to base stations, especially while in the bush. The Company has Increased the size, and quality, of our fleet to over 10 safari vehicles, and 4 saloon vehicles for personalized Airport transfers. We also hire them out to our esteemed customers only. This does away with the problem of sub-contracting vehicles, which inevitably compromises the quality of services. Ashford Travel Employ the best driver-guides and operations staff with expert knowledge in wildlife and other areas of tourist interest. The driver-guides are continually under training in client’s safety, wildlife, general knowledge and foreign languages: English, Japanese, German, and Spanish. Altogether the company has a total of 14 employees and 8 part time guides.
Ashford Travel Maintain the Flying Doctor membership to cover our guests individually for instant rescue and medical evacuation to Nairobi. Client participation fee: USD 15 - USD 25 from all over Kenya and Northern Tanzania and USD 30 - USD 50 for Southern & Western Tanzania and Zanzibar. Ashford Travel is streamlined to operate in all tourist circuits in Kenya which cover wildlife safaris including camping; beach holidays; cultural and historical tours; walking safaris and mountain climbing. We are also marketing out-bound programmes especially those combining Kenya with Tanzania and Uganda. Ashford Travel also introduced camping safaris in 2004. It started with budget camping for a year and then ventured into standard camping in response to a different level of clientele. In 2006 was the introduction of another product of a higher level, semi-luxury camping, again a direct response to the market. All three products, budget, standard, and semi-luxury camping, came to be so popular that we had to establish an independent unit for camping to cater for the expanded operation. Our safari vehicles are specifically converted for maximum space and comfort. All of them have roof hatches to facilitate good viewing and convenient photography while doing game drives. We have introduced a larger version of 4X4 Land-rover and Land-cruiser, which is wider, longer and more spacious, with 6 window seats in the passenger cabin, panoramic sliding windows, and an open roof - excellent facilities for sight seeing and game viewing. Ashford Travel is constantly investing in product development, for we know it is in our interest as well as our duty to ensure that all our guests go back home happy and satisfied with the destination Tanzania. Only this way will they be our good ambassadors to others and come back again to visit us. Ashford Travel is involved in community development, working hand in hand with local communities together with non-profit Organizations, like the Rotary, to help the Kenyan people lead a better life.
