IMPORTANT:

• if you make changes in the itinerary, such as to decide to finish in 3 days, while your itinerary is 4 days ITS NON REFUNDABLE, even the guide or someone tell you in the trail, you must complete your four days as you have agreement for four days trek Santa Cruz. This is because some other passengers agree in the half way to finish in three days, but if you are not agree with 3 days, the crew members will remain with you to complete your four days trek.


• Remember this document is that you agree minimum 48 hours prior to your departure, so any circumstances with different prices are nonrefundable. Due to Non Guarantee departure, for some guests are cheap prices, and not including any materials or bus transfers are cheap prices, or someone with special requests are expensive prices, this services are requested by you to join a group that means different passengers, different prices, different requests, etc.

Remarks:

• on the Departure day stay ready with your belongings at the Hotel lobby from 5:30am, the minivan will pick you up around 6:00am could be before or after a little bit more, be calm and wait it, that is because transfer minivans or buses go around different hotels collecting guests. For emergency calls, please dial 425500 (while you are in Huaraz) or ask in the Hotel reception to dial the phone for you.

Who leads you on the Trek, and how it works?

• in Huaraz, for Join a Group Hikings, we collect guest from different hiking companies and hotels, so there will be last minute guests booking at the time of departure, so we don’t know exactly the number of the guests its an overage to take guests from 10 to 15 passengers during the high season and during the low season could be groups from 6 to 14 and so on, the Hiking company will leave who has the major number of guests who have booked, otherwise we take roles with departures and it is assigned also at time of departure which travel company will organize the trekking.


• Only for private groups, we organize with our company staff.

In the Services Includes:

• Transfer in/out with public minivan or autos (in case of two guests), Trekking Guide who will cook, Donkey Drivers, Donkeys, Tent for Dining and cook, foam mattress, complete food 3B - 4l - 3D

Prices is NOT Included Huascaran National park entrance fees which is 65 soles and Staff tips

Hiking Start Point of the Trek:

• Santa Cruz Trek is a circuit that Starts in both sides, the Hiking Company who is organizing the expeditions will assign to start in Cashapampa or Vaqueria, due to their mountain staff living (donkey drivers with their carrying animals), some companies work with people from Cashapampa and others from Vaqueria, and other reasons like departure time, weather conditions.

Mountain Equipment’s and camping prevents:

• Join  a group expeditions for hikings is economic service as you have discussed and made agreement long time before your arrive with your travel company. So in this service we use Sleeping tents low brands foam mattress and not new ones sometimes due to their costs, so this may cause some uncomfortable things like with zip problems, it can get wet floor but not at all, so you are committed to cooperate with this things taking care for those  to avoid to happen something may cause you uncomfortable, like for example we recommend to buy by your side soft Plastic enough to cover your tent when it rains it may be around 2 dollars in Peruvian soles and you can find in the market, make sure to drain water for not entering to your tent’s floor during the camp sites if necessary ask your donkey driver to help you to make drain line around your tent.


• There will be a group tent with not floor cover where the cook prepares the food and next it can be arranged a place for the group siting for meals

 

TIMINGS:

• All guests are assigned to take breakfast and dinner with proper time, box lunch is served in the mid-way. So during the breakfast please discuss with your guide and your trekking staff time of departure and time to take breakfast, guests can not be late with kitchen utensils when it needs to wash and pick up for cook and helpers, please cooperate using short time and it will be helpful for the crew members. During the night after dinner please if you want to use the group tent for example for playing cards and others expect your departure and breakfast time for tomorrow because if early get-up for the crew members they will need to sleep early as they use the group tent for sleeping or coordinate with your guide how long will you be allowed to stay in the tent, another reason could be saving the gas for lamp or candles.


• Ask in advance with time enough for to fill your water bottles as you need boiled water.


• Vegetarians please remark making the trekking guide remember when you are in the Bus, if something is forgotten can be purchased or solved any problem in cities in the way to trail head.

TREKKING GUIDE.

• Is the responsible for any requirements during the Expeditions, and

EMERGENCY EVACUATION:

• for any emergency evacuation, the mountain Staff, trekking guide, cook, helpers, donkey drivers are trained to take back or continue according the distance with a sick person, if necessary use a emergency horse, the staff will immediately report to closest phone call emergency to Huaraz or Huascaran National Park for a help and coordination according the emergency situation.
