Nyerere National Park is located in the southern part of Tanzania along the southern Tanzania safari circuit and offers the best escape from the large tourist crowds in the northern safari destinations like Serengeti while offering you a remarkable wildlife experience. On this 2-day, 1-night trip you can combine a wildlife and beach experience if you are flying to Dar es Salaam and want to connect to Zanzibar Island in a limited time interval.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

  Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam based in the City center and drive to Domestic Airport. You will be assisted onto your light aircraft for a 30 minutes flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), Africa’s largest reserve. You will spend your time for close wildlife encounters by taking part in a game drive.
  
  The Park is home to huge populations of buffalos and lions and is one of the few places in Africa where you have a good chance of spotting rare wild dogs. In addition, you’ll come across masses of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, and impala.

• Day 2 : Nyerere National Park to Zanzibar

  Early in the morning after breakfast, you will go for another day of the game drive in Nyerere National Park. In the middle of the day, you will return to the camp for hot lunch before being transferred to Mtemere airstrip by your guide and flying to the stunning island of Zanzibar.
