PHUNTSHOLING

Phuntsholing, also spelled as Phuentsholing is a border town in southern Bhutan and is the administrative seat of Chukha District. The town occupies parts of both Phuentsholing Gewog and Sampheling Gewog.


THIMPHU

Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, occupies a valley in the country’s western interior. In addition to being the government seat, the city is known for its Buddhist sites. The massive Tashichho Dzong is a fortified monastery and government palace with gold-leaf roofs. The Memorial Chorten, a whitewashed structure with a gold spire, is a revered Buddhist shrine dedicated to Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck




PARO

Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.


PUNAKHA

Punakha is a town in the Himalayas of Bhutan. It's known for the Punakha Dzong, a 17th-century fortress at the juncture of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers. The fortress hosts the Punakha Tshechu, a religious festival featuring masked dances and music. In the surrounding Punakha Valley, temples include the fertility-focused Chimi Lhakhang and the hilltop Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, which has river and mountain views.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival At Bagdogra (ixb) Airport / Njp Railway Station - Phuntsholing

  Pick Up from Njp Railway Station / Bagdogra (ixb) Airport and Transfer to Phuntsholing (165 Kms, 03 to 04 Hrs) Meet & Greet Upon Arrival At Phuntsholing (298mts / 977fts). Depending On Your Arrival Time Our Trip Leader Will Assist You in Procurement of Your Permit to Bhutan. the Permit Issuance Takes Time Depending On the Rush One Has to Stand in Queue for Procurement of Permit. in Case the Permit is Not Processed On the Day of Arrival Then It Can Be Issued Next Day Before You Start for Next Destination. Overnight At Hotel

• Day 2 : Phuntsholing – Thimphu

  After Breakfast and After Completing Your Visa / Permit Formalities Assisted By Our Bhutan Representative Who Will Assist You in Boarding Your Vehicle for Transfer to Thimphu (2320mts / 7656fts, 180 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs). Evening Free At Leisure. Overnight At Hotel.

• Day 3 : Thimphu Sightseeing

  After Breakfasts Go for Thimphu Sightseeing Covering – Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Point (kuensel Phodong),Changangkha Lhakhang (monastery), Motithang Takin Preservation Centre, Drupthob Goemba / Zilukha Nunnery, National Library (closed On Saturday , Sunday & National Holiday), Institute for Zorig Chusum (traditional Art & Craft School-closed On Saturday , Sunday, National Holiday & During Summer & Winter Vacations), Textiles Museum (handicrafts Shops - Closed On Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (monastery). Overnight At Hotel.

• Day 4 : Thimphu – Punakha / Wangdi

  After breakfast drive to Punakha (1200Mts / 3936Fts, 77 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs) / Wangdi (Wangdiphodrang) (1350Mts / 4430Fts, 70 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs). Punakha / Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Visit Punakha Dzong, If time permit visit the Suspension Bridge and then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery). Overnight at the Hotel in Wangdi.

• Day 5 : Punakha / Wangdi

  After Breakfast Today You the Punakha Valley or Can Even Take the Rafting Options On Punakha River. Back to the Hotel. Overnight At Hotel.

  today the Day Start Early for Full Day Excursion to Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley (3000mts / 9845fts , 85kms / 3 to 3½ Hrs One Way ) the Valley of Gangtey is One of the Most Beautiful Spots in Bhutan. At Gangtey Visit Black Necked Crane Information Centre , Gangtey Goempa (monastery),Back to the Hotel. Overnight At Hotel.

• Day 6 : Punakha - Paro

  After breakfast Punakha Dzong, If time permit visit the Suspension Bridge and then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery),. Later transfer to Paro (2134Mts / 7000Fts, 135 Kms / 05 Hrs,). On arrival Paro, check in to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

• Day 7 : Paro Sightseeing

  After Breakfast Go for Paro Sightseeing Covering Drukgyel Dzong (presently Closed for Tourist), Ta Dzong (national Museum-closed On Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang (monastery),Back to the Hotel. Overnight At Hotel.

  start the Day Early for a Day Hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (tigers Nest Monastery) - the Hike Which is all the Way Uphill Takes About 2 /3 Hours One Way Through Pine Forests. Afternoon At Leisure for Go for Shopping in the Market. Overnight At Hotel.

• Day 8 : Paro - Phuntsholing

  After breakfast transfer to Phuntsholing (298Mts / 977Fts, 176 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs). Overnight at Hotel

• Day 9 : Phuntsholing - NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra (IXB) Airport

  After Breakfast, Drive to Njp Railway Station / Bagdogra (ixb) Airport (165 Kms, 03 to 04 Hrs) the Services End. One Can Take Their Onward Connection.
