Shakti 360° Leti
Shakti 360º Leti can be visited either as an extension to the Shakti Kumaon Village walks or as a standalone itinerary. If it is visited on its own, it can be accessed by private charter, an overnight train or a commercial flight to Pantnagar. Taking the commercial flight entails breaking the journey at one of our village houses for better logistics.

Shakti 360° Leti is open from 1st Oct - 20th April 2013*.

*The closing date can change from year to year depending on weather.

Due to the remote location of Shakti 360 Leti, there is a 3 Night Minimum Stay - although the average stay is in fact 4 or 5 nights. Contact us for more information on the best duration of stay for you and what to do while you are with us.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Old Delhi - Kathgodam

  This evening you will be met at your hotel and driven to the Old Delhi Railway Station for your train to Kathgodam.
  
  Depart: 2240 hrs.

• Day 2 : Kathgodam - Shakti 360° Leti

  Your train will arrive at 0540 hrs this morning. You will be met by your private guide at your train compartment and driven for 3.5 hours to Almora stopping en route for breakfast. Arrive in Almora in time for lunch after which you may like to relax for a while or continue driving for about 4 and a half hours to the road head nearest to the property.
  
  From the road head in Leti you will walk to the resort, which usually takes around an hour along a dramatic, beautiful mountain trail.
  
  Our resort is set in a stunning mountain wilderness at 8,000 feet, a place where you can take time to reflect, and allow the space, peace and astonishingly beautiful landscape to work their magic around you. Shakti 360° Leti provides an exclusive mountain experience - the first and only place of its kind in the Himalaya.
  
  This evening is to relax and enjoy the property.
  
  Overnight: 360° Leti, Altitude: 2230m.

• Day 3 : Shakti 360° Leti

  A walk of about an hour and a half from the campsite will bring you to a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are magnificent views of the Ramganga Valley, Heeramani Glacier and Nanda Kot from this shrine. The walk is on a relatively level path surrounded by oak forests, passing by streams and a traditional flourmill. En route you will come across local people taking supplies to and from the furthest villages in the valley, giving you an insight into the tough lifestyle in the mountains. Enjoy some drinks and cookies or a picnic lunch at this beautiful location and walk back to the camp.
  
  Overnight: Shakti 360° Leti.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 4 : Shakti Leti

  A steep walk up from the campsite, through a narrow path or "pag dandi" brings you to a flat piece of pastureland. One can see this land from the campsite, and it offers a fabulous sense of achievement to reach this area. The views of the mountain peaks from here are majestic and include Nanda Devi (7816m or 25,623ft), the highest mountain within India's borders. It is possible for us to arrange a picnic lunch for you here, else you may return to the campsite for lunch. This is also a fantastic spot for watching a magnificent sunrise of you leave early from the resort.

• Day 5 : Shakti Leti

  After breakfast, you will walk to the road head, where your vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Kathgodam station.
  
  Depart: On Ranikhet Express (A/C sleeper class) at 2040 hrs.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast

• Day 6 : Delhi

  Arrive: Old Delhi Station at 0400 hrs.
  
  This morning you will be met and driven to your hotel in Delhi.
