One of the most common and the easiest trek in Ladakh is the Sham Trek in the western part of Ladakh. During this trek, almost after every 2 hrs you will see a beautiful village. In this trek we give you options for staying. That is, while your trek you can choose to stay either in Camp (our own tents and cook) or Home stay (you will be served homely foods and bed). While your trek, you will see some beautiful places, nunneries, temples..
Day 1 : Leh to Likir, Likir trek to Yangthang.3-4hrs
Drive from Leh to Likir monastery for a visit before we start trekking. And then drive to the trekking point and start trekking. Likir to Yangthang is a walk of around 4hrs to 4 and half. Before reaching Yangthang village, we will come across a small village called Sumdo with only 3 homes. This is the place where we will have our packed lunch. Once we reach Yangthang village we will have a rest and walk around the village. O/N in Camp or Home stay.
Day 2 : Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachan 2 to 2 ½ hrs.
Yangthang to Hemis is a short walk of only 2hrs. But though it’s a short walk and you reach Hemis in a short time, we have a lot to see in Hemis like the Nunnery, Juniper tree (as Shukpachan means the place of Juniper’s) and water mills. Hemis is one of the biggest villages in this side. O/N in Camp or Home stay
Day 3 : Hemis to Tingmosgang 3-4hrs
Hemis to Tingmosgang is around 4 hrs walk. You will first walk in plain before you descend to the valley and start climbing or ascending to reach Maptak la pass. And after this you will keep going down the valley and reach Ang village. At Ang you can have your lunch with tea and coffee. After the lunch we will keep walking on the road (as there is no alternate route), to reach the village of Temisgam. O/N in Camp or Home stay
Day 4 : Tingmosgang to Khalsi and then to Lamayuru drive.3-4hrs
After the morning breakfast, start walking to the east of the village before you reach the base of the Pass. Today is also an easy day because once to reach the pass, it s all going down afterwards. During this trek, there maximum chances of seeing some wild animals like, Ibex, Antelopes, Urial etc. We will picked by the cars at Balukhar, and will be taken to Lamayuru village. O/N at Hotel

Day 5 : Lamayuru to Wanla trek, 2-3hrs, drive to Alchi
Have your morning tea and before the breakfast and visit Lamayuru monastery. Come back and after your breakfast start a small hike of around 2-2 ½ hrs via Pirkiting la and drive to Alchi monastery to rest. O/N at Hotel
Day 6 : Alchi to Leh
In the morning, after the breakfast, visit the 11th century temple, the temple which famous for its art and uniqueness in the world. After the visit, drive back to Leh for lunch. After the lunch, go shopping and marketing. There will be a complementary cultural show. O/N at hotel.
