Short Jomsom trekking is a scenic and serene trek in the midst of the Annapurna region and, is well known for its baked landscapes with strong winds. Well, the Jomsom trekking is fantastic, however, the major highlights of this trip are the superb views of massif Nilgiri and a visit to the holy and enchanting Muktinath temple. Jomsom is the district headquarters of Mustang region and hence, all the government offices of the district are present here with a comparatively high population. The Kali Gandaki valley proudly sits beside the main bazaar with plenty of street vendors and children playing around. This region is decorated by the small airstrip with regular flights from Pokhara to Jomsom. Since decades, locals here typically the Thakali people have been serving exotic trekkers with a welcoming smile. Get a chance to experience the unique culture and tradition of the Thakali inhabitants in this ethnic place.

In order to accommodate and serve the thousands of trekkers, plenty of decent guest houses have been built in the region. The short Jomsom trekking has a few altitude related obstacles and never goes above 3000m. Nevertheless, you are rewarded with some stunning and unusual views of the high Annapurna.

Experience something like never before by walking into the deepest gorge in the world which is the narrow Kaligandaki valley. You will get to witness almost the impressive base of the stunning Nilgiri and then explore the ancient Mustang area. It tends to be a bit clouds early in the morning, however, the views are spectacular throughout the day. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive at Kathmandu (1350m).

  Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, reception, one of our team leaders will greet you and transfer to hotel. Rest and relax till eveing. Join the welcome dinner with one of our tour managers at a typical Nepali restaurant; enjoy the meal with short briefing about Jomsom trekking. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 2 : Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley or Rest Day.

  After breakfast starts full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley including the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Or rest day for shopping and packing for the trip. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 3 : Drive or Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

  After early breakfast, we take a scenic 6 hours bus drive or about 35 minutes flight to Pokhara. Check into hotel, rest of the time will be leisurely walking around Lakeside or rest and relax at hotel. Overnight at hotel in Lakeside.
• Day 4 : Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom and Trek to Kagbeni.

  Transfer to airport, fly to Jomsom and trek continues to Kagbeni, about 3 hrs working through the bank of Kali Gandaki river bed and reach to Ekley- bhatti villages. Trek one hour more to reach Kagbeni. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 5 : Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath.

  Four hours trek to Muktinath 3850m; is an important pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhist with a Gompa and a pagoda style temple. Pagoda is a dedicated to Lord bishnu. The most interesting and importance of the area however is the spot with burning natural gas. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 6 : Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom.

  The trial descends very quickly to the valley floor more than 5,000 ft. below, we descend through a dramatic arid landscape and continues to Kagbeni and continues walking to Jomsom, a major village on Kaligandaki trading route. Overnight at guest house in Jomsom.
• Day 7 : Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara.

  After an early breakfast, we leave our guest house and walk towards small airstrip from where we take a 35 minutes scenic flight to Pokhara. Upon arrive at Pokhara airport, transfer to hotel. Rest of the time will be spent doing some sightseeing or boating on the Phewa Lake. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 8 : Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

  After breakfast at hotel, we take a short visit to international mountain museum and transfer to airport for a flight to Kathmandu. Rest of the day will free for shopping, evening join the farewell dinner with culture show. Overnight at hotel in Katmandu.
• Day 9 : Final Departure.

  After breakfast, we will drop you to international airport for your flight back to home. We wish you have a safe and sound journey back to home and see you again in the future.
