Day 1 : Siem Reap Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport and after completing immigration and customs formalities, meet with your English speaking guide holding a sign marked “Your name” and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The same afternoon, we will to visit the Angkor National Museum www.angkornationalmuseum.com known as the grand entrance to a world-class heritage that reveals the glory of Angkor Civilization. This museum enhances the cultural heritage of the Golden Era of Khmer Kingdom through amassed collection of invaluable artifacts and through state of the art multimedia technology exhibition for a full picturesque legendary story. This visit will also be lead by Mr. Cham Roeurn, Archeologist & Director of Angkor National Museum. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 2 : Siem Reap
Wake up in the early the morning for sunrise – Return to the hotel for breakfast. Then continue to conduct the sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with Colums, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3 : Siem Reap
Breakfast at the hotel – visiting the jungle covered temple of Ta Phrohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. The grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples, where will view the sunset from there before returning to the town. Early evening, you will be taken by Tuk Tuk, a small open-sided taxi common in Cambodia, to cruise around the suburb of Siem Reap town and for a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks for happiness, prosperity and safety for your journey. Day 4 : Siem Reap
Breakfast at the hotel – Morning: transfer to Phnom Kulen (holy mountain) and join the pilgrim path to drive up this secret mountain of the Khmers. Swimming in the waterfall, then we carry on to the summit of the mountain to a pagoda. Picnic lunch is arranged on the top of mountain. In the afternoon, return to Siem Reap following the same route, then we will stop at Banteay Srei temple (the intricately carved and well preserved temple). Along the way we make stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 5 : Siem Reap
This morning, you will depart by boat to Battambang Province, the major rice grange in Cambodia. Since you will start this early morning trip at 6AM, you will enjoy sunrise and sounds of awakened animals. This is the tour by boat from Siem Reap with visit of floating fishermen’s villages on the Tonle Sap Lake, the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia. Whole day you will dedicate to flora and fauna, an observation of birds in the Bird Sanctuary, the largest ornithological reserve of South East Asia. Picnic or lunch in local restaurant is provided. Return to Siem Reap. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap. Note: Prek Toal is not accessible by boat from April till October of the year due to the low level of water, thus the trip is not recommended during this period.
Day 6 : Siem Reap – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel – Visit to “Les Artisans d’Angkor – Chantiers Ecoles” of Siem Reap and local market “Psachas” where might get something for souvenirs back home. Free at own leisure until the time met and transfer to the airport for the flight departure.
