Sikkim and Darjeeling are both beautiful regions located in the northeastern part of India, known for their picturesque landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and stunning views of the Himalayas.
Sikkim is a small state nestled in the eastern Himalayas, bordered by Nepal to the west, Bhutan to the east, and Tibet (China) to the north. It is the second-smallest state in India, but it offers a wealth of natural beauty, biodiversity, and cultural richness.
Darjeeling is a hill station in the state of West Bengal, located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. It’s famous for its tea plantations, colonial charm, and views of Kangchenjunga.
Day 1 : BAGDOGRA AIRPORT/ NJP RAILWAY STATION
Our representative will be there to receive you at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) - you will be assisted for the transfer to Teesta - On the way to Gangtok you will able to see this junction. The river Rangeet with its deep green and crystal clear water gushes in and meets the forceful mountain stream Teesta at a point called Triveni. The confluence takes place on relatively flat terrain, and is surrounded by mountains on all sides. It is the most visited - Nearly 124 kms 5 hours drive - check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 2 : GANGTOK TO LACHUNG
After Breakfast proceeds to Lachung 128 km, 6 hours drive, Enroute visit ButterFly Waterfall / Seven Sister waterfall, Naga waterfall, Chungthang, Lachen a tribal village in one of the remotest places of Sikkim. Snow clad peaks overlook the village. Lachen experiences heavy snowfall during winter and it is the gateway to Gurudongmar Lake (17,300 feet. Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 3 : LACHUNG SIGHTSEEING
Set out for an early morning tour to the Bhim nala fall also known as Amitabh Bachchan fall due to its height. The water fall is falling from a very High Mountain and it looks like a three stage water fall, at a Distance of 13 km from Lachung, one of the Tallest waterfalls in Sikkim. Yumthang (11880 feet), valley covered with snow-clad mountains with a large number of species of Rhododendrons and varieties of Primula Flowers. They bloom during spring and the summer. Further drive to Yumesamdong (15000 feet) or locally known as zero point for 26 kms. Drive through a hilly-winding road and arrive at Yumesamdong where there is a hot spring and the mountains are crystal clear. Most of the time Yumesamdong has snow in abundance, Later return to Lachung, Lunch further drive to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 4 : GANGTOK SIGHTSEEING
Start for a Full day city tour covering Enchey Monastery, Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower Show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Center, Institute of Tibetology, Ropeway, Banjhakri falls, Ornamental plants & Himalayan Zoological Park. maximum 6 hours. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 5 : GANGTOK TO TSOMGO LAKE & BABA MANDIR
After breakfast, we started for an excursion to Tsomgo lake,which has a different charm as the lake is situated at 12,400 feet whereas Gangtok is at 5,500 feet. Change of vegetation altitudinal varieties is a must to observe. Lake is regarded as sacred as the meaning itself speaks of the head of the lake. Through a winding road with Rhododendron bushes and shrubs and especially during the winter season-carpeted by snow, arrive at Nathula after 14 kms. Nathula (14,600 feet) is an Indi-Chinese picket and only passes to cross over to Tibet. 3 kms of drive through a beautiful landscape, arrive at Baba mandir (13000 feet), Baba Harbhajan Sahib Mandir is a wishful temple, people offer prayers and seek fulfillment of wishes. Later returned to Gangtok. Nathula is confirmed only on the availability of permits. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 6 : GANGTOK TO PELLING VIA NAMCHI, RAVANGLA
After Breakfast proceeds to Pelling 112 km, 5 hours drive, Enroute visit Char Dham/ Siddeshwar Dham, Sai Mandir, Samdruptse & Ravangla Buddha Park. Pelling is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Pemayangtse Monastery features wall paintings, sculptures and a gold-plated statue of Guru Padmasambhava. Overlooking a valley, the 17th-century Rabdentse Palace, now in ruins, still has evidence of the king’s bedroom and kitchen. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 7 : PELLING SIGHTSEEING
Start for a Full day city tour covering Kanchenjunga waterfalls, Rimbi water falls, Khecheopalri lake, Rabdentse Ruins, River orange garden, Chenrezig statue or Skywalk & Sewaro rock garden. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 8 : PELLING TO DARJEELING
Set out for an early morning tour to Darjeeling. Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 9 : DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING
Set out for an early morning tour to the Tiger Hill is located in Darjeeling, in the Indian State of West Bengal. It has a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Mahakal Temple, Batasia Loop, Japanese Peace Pagoda, Ghoom Monastery, Ropeway & Darjeeling Tea Garden. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 10 : DARJEELING TO BAGDOGRA AIRPORT
Check-out, the hotel dropped by Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station, 72 km, 3 hours.
