Dubdi Monastery:
The first monastery established after the ceremony of first Chogyal, Dubdi Monastery is situated on the hilltop above Yuksom. You can reach it by trekking only of about half an hour.
Culture
A melting pot of three ethnic groups, Lepcha, Bhutia, and Nepali – Sikkim has a lot of culture to offer. In fact the myriad blend has produced a quintessential Sikkimese Culture that encompasses all ways and walks of life. Interestingly, it has also allowed each culture to preserve its own identity. These can also be seen in the various places of worship, festivals and performing arts.
Hot Springs
Sikkim's hot springs are known for their phenomenal therapeutic value. The water here is believed to have great medicinal properties. Some of the well-known hot springs of Sikkim are Yumthang Hot Spring, Yume Sandong Hot Spring, Reshi Hot Spring and Borong & Rolong Hot Springs.
Caves
Sikkim has four great holy caves- 'Phug Chen Zhi', which are included in Paanch Dhaam of Sikkim. These Caves are located at four cardinal directions of Tashiding (West Sikkim), namely –Sharchog Beyphug, Lho Kando Sangphug, Nub Dechenphug and Jhang Lhari Nyingphug Tashiding, according to Holy text, is the Navel point of 'Bayul Demajong' , and is considered as the 5th Dhaam of this Holy land.
Lakes
Sikkim is known for it's sacred lakes with stunning views. Some of the lakes are: Tsomgo Lake, Menmecho Lake, Lampokari lake, Khecheopalri lake and Gurudongmar lake.
Wild-Life Sanctuaries
Sikkim has a total of 6 wildlife sanctuaries that can leave one spellbound. These are, 'Kanchendzonga National Park (KNP)', 'Fambong Lho Wildlife Sanctuary' , 'Maenam Wildlife sanctuary ','Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary', 'Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary' and 'Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary‘.
Day 1 : Gangtok
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your Hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure.
Day 2 : Gangtok
After breakfast proceed to full day sightseeing tour of Gangtok visiting places like the Rumtek Monastery, Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park, Do Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom and Flower Exhibition Centre.
Day 3 : Gangtok
After breakfast, proceed on an excursion to Tshangu lake followed by a visit to Baba Mandir (Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple). The rest of the day is free for leisure.
Day 4 : Gangtok, Pelling
Post breakfast, drive the hills of Pelling. On arrival Check-in at the Hotel. The rest of the evening is free for leisure.
Day 5 : Pelling, Darjeeling
This morning proceed for a Half Day sightseeing tour of Pelling covering Pelling Monastery, Rimbi Waterfalls, Hydro Project (outer view) and Khechepadi Lake. Thereafter, proceed to Darjeeling, one of the most magnificent hill stations in the world. On arrival, check-in at the Hotel. Rest of the evening is free for leisure.
Day 6 : Darjeeling
Early Morning proceed to Tiger Hills. It has an amazing view of the sunrise. On the way back visit to Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop – a gigantic loop which the Toy rain makes a 360 degree turn. After breakfast, proceed to half day Darjeeling sightseeing tour Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Insitute, Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock and Tea Estate (panaromic view).
Day 7 : Darjeeling
Today bid farewell to your tour as you are transferred to airport/railway station in New Jalpaiguri for your onward journey.
