A short an easy trek rarely trodden by trekkers, Siklesh Trek explores the tranquil region south of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. The panorama of Annapurna range, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, Dhampus peak, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal is the exclusive natural highlight of Siklesh Trekking. Wonderful trails of the trek penetrates through rhododendron forests at times and at other occasions the trail winds through terraced hills, captivating lowlands and culturally opulent mountainous villages. Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu; Transfer to Hotel, Evening a Welcome Dinner
Actually, Nepal opens in the air; just before the plane lands at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. If you are, lucky enough with the bright sunshine on your arrival day the wide range of soaring Himalayan Peaks to the North is a magnificent view. As you complete the immigration formalities of the airport and make your way out from the Arrivals Terminal, we would offer you a warm Nepalese welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel in a private vehicle. At hotel, you will have a very easy check-in procedure. Let the flight exhaustion go off in the cozy hotel room. In the evening, we will offer you a welcome dinner in one of the finest cultural restaurants of the city.
Day 2 : Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the main cultural hub of Nepal. A city of temples and monasteries not only holds the nation’s most religious shrines, it is also a sacred valley where the living Gods and Goddess live with the mortals till the date. Today you will have a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu with the best tourist guide of the town. After the breakfast, we will escort you to Pashupatinath- the largest Hindu Temple of Nepal in a private vehicle. The temple dedicated to supreme Hindu God, Shiva banks Bagmati River. At Pashupatinath you will get to see exceptionally carved statues and idols of Hindu deities, a long row of Shiva-Lings, series of small temples and the golden hood at the top of main Temple is truly fascinating. Moreover, an opportunity to witness the Hindu Death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of Pashupatinath we will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath. A large domed shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of large monument and the and outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs makes this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. Post lunch the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes a place the prominent attraction for tourists. The stone paved streets, pagoda style religious monuments inclusive different Hindu deities are the cultural delights of ancient and medieval Nepal at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Today’s final destination for sightseeing tour in Kathmandu takes you to Swayambhunath. A self emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You will get to experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath.After the full day sightseeing tour, a private vehicle will escort you to your hotel.
Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara; Evening Boating At Fewa Lake
After the breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Pokhara in a tourist bus. The ride to Pokhara is on a snakelike highway, which winds on the cliff above Himalayan Rivers like Trishuli, Marsyangdi and Seti. Six to seven hours of road journey will bring you to Pokhara. Pokhara is an enchanting town known for its unique geographical formation. Lakes, caves, gorges, hilltops and the views of mesmerizing Annapurna Himalayan Range and matchless Fishtail are exceptional highlights of Pokhara. On your arrival at Pokhara you will be transferred to your hotel in the city. In the evening we can enjoy the pleasant boating session in the crystal clear Fewa Lake.
Day 4 : Drive to Bijaypur and Trek to Kalikasthan (1,370m): 1 Hr Drive, 4 - 5 Hrs Trek
Today, our trek begins. Initially, we will drive to Bijayapur from Pokhara, which is thirty minutes drive. From Bijaypur we begin our trek. We cross pass the beautiful flat rice fields and then ascend to Chautara via Rakhigaon. Beyond Chautara our uphill climb continues to a Village dominated by Brahmins (one of the major castes of Nepal). The trail beyond the village finally connects us to Kalikasthan. The view of Pokhara from the Village is fascinating and the mountain views to the north are equally enchanting. Overnight at Kalikasthan.
Day 5 : Trek to Lamchaur
After the breakfast, we begin our trek. We slide down to the River Valley, cross passing few beautiful waterfalls cascading down to the valleys. After four hours of pleasant walk we arrive to Lamachour. On our arrival, we have plenty of time left to do other activities so begin the exploration of the village.
Day 6 : Trek to Siklesh 1980m
Today after the breakfast, we begin our trek along the pleasant Rhododendron woods. The trek climbs up towards Siklesh. Siklesh is one of the largest Gurung settlements in Nepal. On our arrival at Siklesh we will be transferred to our guest house or to our host family. Then we can explore around the village. We can witness the traditional ways of daily needs production, we can capture the authentic Gurung culture, their attires and their hospitality in Siklesh.
Day 7 : Full Day Excursin of Sikelsh
Today the entire day we explore around the village. We can see lots of activities that are unique for any western trekkers in Siklesh. The traditional Gurung lifestyles, the making of handicrafts in a traditional way, the cloth weaving procedure in the traditional way and the flourmills driven by water current in a traditional will fascinate you. Besides, you can also explore the flanking rhododendron forest in Siklesh. O/N in Siklesh.
Day 8 : Trek to Baishi Kharka
Today we begin the trek towards Basikharka. The pleasant walk savoring the views of Annapurna and Lmajung Himal will bring you to Bhaisi Kharka after six hours of effortless walk.
Day 9 : Trek to Ghale Gaon
After the breakfast, we slide down towards Ghale Gaon. One of Nepal's most popular mid-hill destinations for homestay tourism, Ghale Gaon is a wonderful village. En-route to Ghale Gaon we traverse through the pleasnat rhododendron forest savoring the exceptional views of Boudha Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu in the east, Mt. Fishtail in the west and Lamjung Himal and Annapurna in the north. On our arrival at Ghale Gaon we enjoy the hospitality of the host family that belong to great Gurkha Warriors, Gurung.
Day 10 : Trek to Besisahar Via Khudi
After the breakfast, our trek resumes. We trek down to Khudi via Lama Gaon. Trek from Ghale Gaon to Khudi winds through dense woodlands. At Khudi we enjoy our lunch and post lunch we trek along the trail above Marsyangdi River to Besisahar. Besisahar is the starting point of Nepal's most popular trek- Annapurna Circuit. O/N at Besisahar.
Day 11 : Drive to Kathmandu; Evening Farewell Dinner
Today you will have bumpy ride on mishmash road to Dumre for first two-three hours. Then we drive on the snaky Prithivi Highway to Kathmandu in a tourist coach. Witnessing the rural landscapes dominated by lush vegetation and rushing rivers is full of fun throughout the drive. The rural culture is also a fascinating reward of the ride. Almost 150km kilometers of ride that takes seven full hours will finally bring you to Kathmandu. On your arrival to Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. During the evening, you are invited to a cultural restaurant for the farewell dinner.
Day 12 : Depart Kathmandu
As per your flight schedule, you will drive with our representative to the airport in a private vehicle. Have a safe flight and visit Nepal time and again.
