Skiing Course - 2012.
Manali, Dist, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.

Encircled by some of the most stunningly scenic landscapes in the world, Manali is a major focus for the sport of Skiing. Solang Nallah and Rohtang Pass offer a variety of slopes for skiers. Some easy runs are provided for beginners who can take the course.

Season: 25th January 2012 to 30th June 2012.

Duration of the course: 5 Nights/6 days.

Venue: Solang valley is situated 13 kms north of Manali. It offers one of the best skiing slopes for both the beginners and professionals.
Sethan is a high altitude village with many slopes of different grades surrounding it. It lies in the east of Manali and about 10 kms from Manali.Pre/post camp arrival/departure, facilitation/travel cost to and from Camps joining and dispersal locations, etc.
Cost of any form of insurance, rescue, evacuation, hospitalization, etc.
Costs incurred due to delays in arrival/departure of any means of transportation resulting from landslides, floods, Avalanches, heavy snow fall or other natural or man made causes over which PARAMOUNT ADVENTURE has no control.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Manali

  Arrive Manali and transfer to Camp at Solang Valley/Sethan. Introduction to ski equipment and their using techniques.

  • Hotspots : Solang Valley
  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 2 : Manali

  Walking in ski shoes, walking on soft snow, walking on skis.

• Day 3 : Manali

  Side stepping up a slope on skis, balancing on skis.

• Day 4 : Manali

  Balancing - snow plough position-fall and recovery techniques.

• Day 5 : Manali

  Snow plough position - going down a slope in snow plough position.

• Day 6 : Manali

  Going down a slope in snow plough position, snow plough turns. End of course. Depart Camp to Manali and board the bus in the evening for your onward destination.
