Day 1 : Arrive Guwahati (Sojourn in Northeast India)
Welcome to your Experience North East with Tawang tour! Our representative picks you and transfer you to your hotel. Stay overnight at Guwahati.
Day 2 : Guwahati
After breakfast, you are transferred to Maa Kamakhya Mandir for Darshan & Puja(Private). Rest of the day you can spend by visiting other landmarks such as Shankardev Kala Kendra & The Bashishta Ashram. Evening you would be taken to the Brahmaputra Bank for Sunset Cruise with the famous ALFRESCO GRAND.
Day 3 : Guwahati - Kaziranga. (169 km / approx. .3.25 hours drive)
Early morning you are transferred to Kaziranga Sanctuary and on reaching there we check in at Hotel. After lunch, you move out for Jeep Safari(Private) at Kohora Range. (Rs.2850 Per Jeep ). Evening Cultural Show and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Kaziranga To Bhalukpung (88 Km / Approx 2 hrs 9 Min)
Before breakfast, you venture for the famous Elephant Safari(Private) in the Bagori Range (Rs.1000.00 per head).After the safari, you have your breakfast and after freshening up you proceed for Bhalukpung. Bhalukpong is a small but picturesque town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh. Hereafter freshening up we can visit the majestic Kameng river and the Gorgeous waterfalls nearby. We can also visit the orchid farm at TIPI. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Day 5 : Bhalukpong - Dirang (160 km / approx. 5 hours drive)
After a leisurely breakfast, proceed towards Dirang, On arrival in Dirang, check in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the picturesque valley. In the evening you visit the apple orchids and the Yak farms.
Day 6 : Dirang Tour
After a leisurely breakfast, we spend the day exploring the beautiful Dirang Valley. Attractions in Dirang is- Sangti Valley, Dirang Dzong, Hot water spring, Kalchakra Gompa.
Day 7 : Dirang - Tawang (150 km / approx. 5 hours drive)
Transfer from hotel in Dirang to the hotel in Tawang, en route visit Sela Lake, Sela Pass and Jaswant Garh War Memorial. One of the most breath taking and heavenly place, Sela Lake is also known as 'Paradise Lake' because of its natural beauty. The lake is fully or partially frozen in the winters. The Sela Pass is a lifeline for the people of here as it is the only way that connects Tawang district of the state to the rest of the country. It is a high-altitude mountain pass and has an elevation of 4170m (13,700ft.). It's a beautiful place always covered in snow providing scenic views of the eastern Himalayan range. The Jaswant Garh War Memorial commemorates the bravery of the martyred Indian soldiers of the 1962 Indo- China War. Set in the scenic Tawang valley, the memorial is dedicated to the Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat of the 4 Garhwal Rifles. On arrival in Tawang, check in to the hotel. Evening you visit the famous Tawang monastery which is known in Tibetan as 'Galden Namgey Lhatse' which translates to 'celestial paradise in a clear night'. The monastery plays a critical role in the social and religious life of the Monpas.
Day 8 : Tawang Tour
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Tawang. After a leisurely breakfast, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Tawang. Tawang is a beautiful land with picturesque landscapes, panoramic mountains, clam villages, quiet lakes and magical gompas. Some of the places to visit today is - Bumla Pass, Madhuri Lake, Pangateng Tso Lake, Goricen Peak,
Day 9 : Tawang Tour
Today after breakfast we visit the Tawang War Memorial is a 40- foot high multi-hued memorial, built-in memory of soldiers of the Indian army who gave up their life in the 1962 Indo-Sino War. Also known as Namgyal Chorten, the structure is similar to a huge stupa. Some of the places to visit today is - Nurangang Falls, Nagula Lake.
Day 10 : Tawang - Bomdila (180 km / approx. 6 hours drive)
Post breakfast, drive to the picturesque town of Bomdila. Located in the foothills of Himalayas, it is the headquarters of West Kameng District, situated at a height of 8500 ft. One can view the brilliant landscape and snow-clad Gorichen ranges of the Himalaya from here on a clear day. On arrival, check into the hotel in Bomdila. places to visit in Bomdila. Bomdila Monastery. ... Bomdila View Point. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Day 11 : Bomdila to Tezpur (154 km / approx. 4.40 hours drive)
After breakfast, drive towards the hills of Tezpur. Located on the banks of Brahmaputra river, Tezpur is the fifth-largest state of Assam. This charming town offers beautiful landscapes, tea gardens, Himalayan ranges and many historical sights. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.
Day 12 : Tezpur to Shillong (244 km / approx. 5.30 hours drive)
After breakfast, you are transferred from Kaziranga to the hotel in Shillong, en-route visit Umiam Lake (Private). Shillong became the first capital of the The state of Meghalaya. Located in undulating pine-covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496 m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. We stop to visit the Umiam Lake is also known as 'Bara Pani' which is a vast and scenic reservoir surrounded by lush green hills. It is also a popular destination for water sports. Evening if time permits we visit the Wards Lake and the Cathedral Church.
Day 13 : Shillomg Tour
After you start Shillong Local sightseeing. Shillong sightseeing options: 1. Ward's Lake, 2. Shillong Peak, 3. Sweet Falls, 4. Lady Hyder Park 5. Golf Course. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 14 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee (120 km /approx. 4 hours drive to & fro)
After a hearty breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.) the wettest place in the world. We visit the beautiful and the tallest plunge waterfall in India known as Nohkalikai Falls. Enjoy the sight of water rushing down from 1,100 feet through the green forest into a deep waterhole which has unusually blue water like a lagoon. A short trek through some of the amazing terrain and watching a great variety of birds as we reach the entrance of Mawsmai Caves. This limestone caves have the distinction of being the only cave in Meghalaya that are lit enough to enable visitors to explore the natural formations in awe. Then, visit the Seven Sister Falls also known as 'Nohsngithiang Falls' is a seven segmented waterfall which plunges over the top of a limestone cliff. The view is spectacular which leaves one spellbound. Lastly, visit the Elephant Falls for some breathtaking views. A British officer named this falls owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the falls. This rock was later destroyed due to an earthquake. At Elephanta Falls, one can get very close and enjoy its serenity. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel in Shillong.
Day 15 : Shillong to Dawki (175 km /approx. 6 hours drive to & fro)
After a leisurely breakfast, we proceed to Iwaki (Umangot) the crystal clear river and see the border of Bangladesh. We can enjoy a boat ride in the crystal clear water of the Dawki river and enjoy the beauty of nature. Overnight Stay at Shillong.
Day 16 : Shillong to Guwahati/Imphal (120 km / approx. 3 hours drive)
Today, bid farewell to your 'Glimpse of Assam with Meghalaya' tour, as you are transferred to the airport / railway station in Guwahati/Imphal for your onward journey to Imphal.
Day 17 : Arrival Imphal
Our representative receives you and is transferred to Hotel in Imphal, the capital of Manipur. Imphal, the capital of Manipur, is a scenic city. It is located at the centre of the beautiful Manipur valley and is surrounded by plains and hills. Dense forests and sprawling grasslands make the place a heaven on earth. It reflects the rich tradition of the state. Evening we visit the local market and surroundings. Overnight stay in Imphal.
Day 18 : Imphal
After breakfast, you proceed for the tour of Imphal. Here are the leading tourist destinations in Imphal. Loktak Lake Red Hill Lokpaching Kangla Fort Sirohi National Park Manipur State Museum Khonghampat Orchidarium Matai Garden Overnight stay in Imphal.
Day 19 : Imphal the last of the North East Sojourn
