Package Overview

Sona villa is built on the basis of a Swiss chalet. with cladding of pinewood and The walls are made of french windows with glass panes from top to bottom and covering all 3 sides. This allows a panaromic view of the surrounding lake from the inside. The interior is of pine wood. It is perched on a hill overlooking the huge Muldhe lake, in a quaint little village of Ambalpad. This village is located in the Konkan belt of Sindhudurg, about 5 km from Kudal railway station and 2 km from the national highway NH 17 that runs from Mumbai to Goa.

Those interested can take advantage of activities like paddle boating, fishing, bird and butterfly watching or trekking in the nearby woods. You can take day tours to the neighbouring towns like Malwan, Vengurla, Sawantwadi, Panjim in Goa, or the hill station in Amboli. You can indulge in water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, banana boat ride or paragliding and wind surfing. Here you can enjoy the authentic Malvani cuisine and sea food.

Sona Villa essentially consists of a picturesque rustic bunglow with tiled roof and walls of glass windows from where you get a beautiful view of the surrounding lake stretching all around. The walls are clad with pine wood and the antique interior gives you a feel of a swiss chalet. .The stain glass windows on the porshe and the varanda gives the whole place a look of an ancient dwelling.

There is an adjoining deck overlooking the lake where you can laze around watching the birds on the lake for hours. From here you can do a tight rope walk to go a tree house and enjoy a view of the lake from the tree top.
Besides this, there are 4 spacious rooms built on the style of Spanish villa. Each rooms is decorated in a different style with antiques like carved or poster beds and Victorian style sofas, dressing tables and chairs etc. All rooms are air conditioned with modern amenities. There is a small pool, jacuzi,, a deck area overlooking the lake and a number of sit outs to watch the birds and butterflies.Pick up and drop from station
Visitors can avail of a 1 hour boat ride at the adjoining lake and avail of a Candle light dinner.
