Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chennai arrival. Chennai city tour

  Arrive Chennai and transfer to the hotel.
  In morning after breakfast visit Govt. Museum, fort St George, Santhome basilica & Kapaleshwarar temple . Optional Visit to Bharatnatyam Dance Trainer. (Overnight at Hotel )

• Day 2 : Chennai - Drive to Mahabalipuram. 60 km/ 1 hrs-30 min.

  Morning drive to Mahabalipuram and transfer to the hotel. Visit Arjuna penance ,Sea Shore Temple. Evening leisure to relax on the beach. (overnight at Hotel)
• Day 3 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry  100 km/ 2 hrs 30 min

  After breakfast visit Shore temple, Five Rathas & Arjuna penance . Drive Pondicherry and visit Auroville, Aurobindo ashram, Museum & Manakula vinayagar temple. (overnight at Hotel )
• Day 4 : Pondicherry - Tanjore    220 km/ 6 hrs

  Drive to Tanjore enroute visit, Gangaikondacholapuram & Darasuram.( Overnight stay at Hotel )
• Day 5 : Tanjore - Tiruchirapally (Trichy) – Madurai    185 km/ 5 hrs

  Tanjore visit Royal Palace & Brahadeeshwara temple and Trichy visit Srirangam temple & Rock fort temple. (Overnight stay at Hotel)
• Day 6 : Madurai

  Madurai visit , Flower market, Meenakshi Amman temple, Thirumalai nayak palace & Night ceremony at Meenakshi temple. ( overnight stay at Hotel )

• Day 7 : Madurai - Rameshwaram - 180 km/(4 hrs 30 min)

  Driver to Rameshwaram and visit, Ramanathaswamy temple, five face Hanuman temple, Agneetheertham & Ramar padham. (Overnight stay at Hotel )
• Day 8 : Rameshwaram (beach leisure)

  Day leisure at Rameshwaram. (Overnight stay at Hotel) (Optional to visit Dhanushkodi)
• Day 9 : Rameshwaram - Kanyakumari - 340 km/7-8 hrs

  Drive to Kanyakumari and visit, Kumari Amman temple, Vivekanda rock, Thiruvalluvar statue & evening witness the sunset. (Overnight stay at Hotel )

• Day 10 : Kanyakumari - Trivandrum - Kovalam  -  (90 km / 2 hrs 30 min)

  Drive to Kovalam and enroute visit Padmanabhapuram palace, Trivandrum sightseeing of Padmanabaswamy temple & horse palace museum. (Overnight stay at Hotel )

• Day 11 : Kovalam  beach leisure

  Day Leisure at Kovalam. (Overnight stay at Hotel  )
• Day 12 : Kovalam - Alapphuza (Alleppey) 180 kms /( 5 hrs )

  Driver Alleppey to embark the private houseboat, here you will be sailing through the narrow canal to see the local people day to day life, birds are the main attractions on the backwater. Lunch onboard (Overnight stay at Hotel).

• Day 13 : Allepey  -  Periyar   - (150 kms / 4 ½ hrs)

  Drive to Periyar and check in to hotel. Later proceed for spice plantation tour with local guide, it will be a different experience to know the biological name & mother plant of the spices, which we are using in our daily life & evening enjoy boating in Periyar Lake, There is a good chance of seeing any of the inhabitants of the reserve. There are some tigers in this forest, which will be very rare to see and groups of elephant, wild boar, bison and sambar, can be seen moving along the banks skirting the forest, and water birds, perched on tree stumps with their wings spread, present a delightful sight while boating. (Overnight stay at Hotel )
  
• Day 14 : Periyar  - Munnar  - 110 km ( 4 hrs)

  Drive to Munnar this town is located in the altitude of 6000 feet above from the sea level. Munnar is one of the beautiful hill stations in Kerala filled with misty mountains & tea plantation that makes you feel like a green carpet made for hectares and hectares. Later visit Eravikulam national park (might be closed in March for breeding), where you can spot out the rare species Nilgiri thar (Mountain Goats), Madupatti dam, Tea museum and later in the evening spend your time to explore Munnar town for shopping. (Overnight, stay in Hotel).

  • Themes Hill Stations & Valleys
• Day 15 : Munnar - Cochin  (140 km / 4 ½ hrs)

  Drive to cochin and check-in at hotel. Lunch. 3 hours Optional Harbour cruise followed by Sightseeing OR 1 hour Kalaripayattu . (Overnight stay at Hotel ).
• Day 16 : Cochin

  Cochin sightseeing including St Francis church, Santa Cruz basilica, Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue. Evening visit the Kerala traditional dance program Kathakali. (Overnight stay at Hotel).

• Day 17 : Cochin (Departure)
