Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

    You would arrive at Delhi and you will be met on arrival by our representative. You will then be transferred to the hotel. Enjoy the breakfast at the hotel and (Check-in time at the hotel is 1200 hours) Delhi, the vibrant capital city of India lying along the River Yamuna, is a teaming metropolis of 14 million people . The contrast between the new and the old is starkly prominent. Stay overnight in Delhi.

  • Day 2 : Delhi

    Enjoy a satisfying breakfast proceed for an entire day of sightseeing of old and new Delhi. You would first proceed for sightseeing tour of Old Delhi as you would visit Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Here you will enjoy a Rickshaw Ride in the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk – once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty which today is the busiest commercial market of the city. You can visit Raj Ghat the last resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, drive pass the magnificent Red Fort – a marvel in red sandstone, built on the banks of River Yamuna by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. In the afternoon you would proceed for an sightseeing tour of New Delhi – visit the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand- carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time with no markings of age even after 1500 years. Drive past the India Gate (war memorial dedicated to the lives of the Indian soldiers), Rashtrapati Bhawan (the Presidents house) – formerly the Viceroys Palace, Parliament House and the Secretariat Buildings- and interesting blend of the Victorian and 20th century architecture. Return to the hotel for the overnight stay in Delhi.

  • Day 3 : Delhi Jaipur (260 Kms.05hrs30mts)

    In the morning leave for Jaipur. Jaipur, or the City of Victory, was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and is a well planned city of magnificent palaces and building. Built from rose-coloured terra cotta, it has given it the name Pink City. Nowadays the Capital of Rajasthan with a population of over 1 million, it is a city full of contrasts with bazaars teeming with turbaned elders and jean clad youngsters to camels, horses and a multitude of vehicles. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. You can rest leisurely and stay overnight in Jaipur.

  • Day 4 : Jaipur

    Get ready for an morning excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the region prior to Jaipur, and located 11 km north of the City. Now a deserted complex crowning the crest of a hill with panoramic views. The Amber Fort is an extremely well preserved and a fascinating place to explore. The forts and the majestic ramparts follow the natural contours of the ridge.The palace is full of hidden gems “ the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of mirrors), Jas Mandir with its latticed windows and glass inlay work and Zenana. (Womens quarters) Elephants still carry visitors in stately splendour to the main Palace, through magnificent high gateways. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur, visit the opulent Maharajas City Palace which occupies the heart of Jai Singhs city and has been home to the City of rulers for 200 years. A superb blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, the interiors of the Palace are lavishly furnished and decorated and the Museum houses a fabulous collection of textiles, art and crafts and arms. The Jantar Mantar or Observatory was built by Jai Singh II, a keen astronomer, in 1728. It resembles a collection of giant sculptures and was used to determine the position of the stars and planets, accurately calculate Jaipurs time as this aides in making horoscopes and is as of today still used to forecast the expected arrival date and intensity of the monsoon and summer temperatures. Photo stop at Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds – Hawa Mahal, is a palace in Jaipur, India, so named because it was essentially a high screen wall built so the women of the royal household could observe street festivities( while remaining unseen from the outside). You can a lso visit colorful local market in Jaipur. Return to the hotel and stay overnight in Jaipur.

  • Day 5 : Jaipur Fatehpur Sikri Agra ( 260 Kms.06 Hrs.)

    Today leave for Agra en-route visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar in 1571 in honour of the famous Sufi saint, Salim Chishti. The Mughal capital for only 14 years recently abandoned due to the lack of water, the buildings, blending Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture and reflecting Akbars secular vision, remain in an excellent condition and it is a fascinating place to wander around.You must continue overland to Agra the capital of the Mughal court during the 16th and 17th centuries . The emperors Akbars, Jahangir and Shah Jehan governed their vast empires and as prolific builders; artisans from Persia, Central Asia and other parts of India were attracted by their patronage. The resulting was luxurious palaces, tombs, forts and gardens dot the picturesque riverine region along the Yamuna River; three of which, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri have been declared World Heritage Sites. Agra is renowned for its delicate Pietra Dura work; a Florentine technique imported by Jahangir of arranging minute pieces of precious and semi precious stones in complex, stylized floral and geometric designs into a marble base.   • Day 6 : Agra Delhi( 200 Kms. / 05 Hrs. )

    Today after breakfast you would check out from hotel and visit the magnificent Taj Mahal ( closed on every Friday ), often considered the pinnacle of Mughal art in India, the Taj was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. There are few words that can describe the magnificence of this monument. The worlds greatest monument symbolic for love and devotion. It was built by the emperor Shah Jehan for his favourite wife Mumtaz, its perfect proportions and exquisite craftsmanship took 20,000 workers almost 22 years to complete in 1653. It is undoubtedly a building as close to perfection as it was achievable and its appearance changes magically with the different wave lengths of illumination at different times of the day. You can visit the Agra Fort too, which has been the seat of Mughal rulers for several years. The Agra Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled city. Later on drive back to Delhi and get dropped at the Delhi airport and catch your onward flight to your next destination.
