South special - Coorg, Ooty and Mysore Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Mumbai - Bangalore

  Catch Train/flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru. On arrival in Bangalore, transfer to your hotel, and enjoy a tour of Bull Temple, Mysore Arts & Crafts Centre, Commercial Street, Vidhana Soudha, and Lal Bagh.
• Day 2 : Bangalore - Mysore (140kms/ 3 hours)

  Today, proceed to Mysore. En route, visit Srirangpattanam - the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. Arrive into Mysore and check into your hotel. In the evening, pay a visit to Brindavan Gardens. Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
• Day 3 : Mysore - Coorg (120kms/2-3 hours)

  In the morning, proceed to an excursion to visit one of the best-preserved Hoysala Temples at Somnathpur. In the afternoon visit the famous Mysore Palace. Thereafter drive to Coorg. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and have comfortable overnight stay.
• Day 4 : Coorg Local Tour

  Today, enjoy a half-day tour, with visits to coffee plantations, orange orchards and paddy field in Mercara, the largest town in Coorg. Overlooking the town is a sprawling fortress built by the Rajas of Coorg on a hill. Nearby stands a temple of Lord Omkareswara (one of the twelve Joytirling), which shows an unusual combination of the Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture. Return to your hotel after the tour and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
• Day 5 : Coorg - Ooty (250kms/ 6 hours)

  : Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, check out of the hotel & continue your picturesque journey into the blue Nilgiri hills past the tea plantations to Ooty. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and have a comfortable overnight stay.
• Day 6 : Ooty Sightseeing

  In the morning, enjoy a tour of the 'Queen of the Blue Mountains', that includes a visit to Dodabetta Peak for a spectacular view. Later, drive to Coonoor and visit Sims Park and 'Dolphin' Nose Point. In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Gardens and the popular Ooty Lake. Return to the hotel after sightseeing and have a comfortable overnight stay.
• Day 7 : Ooty - Coimbatore - Home Town

  After breakfast proceed to Coimbatore. After reaching Coimbatore, proceed as per your further journey schedule towards your home town.
