From Capetown to Stellenboch, this Souther Cape Circle Route trip will take you to the Southern region of South Africa. There, you will visit unique towns, indulge in culinary adventures and visit the wine fields that South Africa is famous for.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cape Town - Riebeek West(D)

  Travel to Bloubergg beachfront for a post-card view of Table Mountain across the Bay.
  
  Continue up the West Coast then travel inland, through rolling savannah to Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West. This bit of tranquility is set up against the Kasteelberg Mountain and boasts one of South Africa’s premier wine estates, “Allesveloren”.
  
  Overnight stay at Riebeek Valley Hotel, Table mount view.

• Day 2 : Riebeek West- Stellenbosch (BD)

  Travel via historic Tulbach with its lovely examples of Cape Dutch architecture through to Ceres, a fruit producing region.
  
  Transverse the winelands of the Cape to historic Stellenbosch.
  
  Overnight stay at d’ Ouwe Werf.

• Day 3 : Stellenbosch - Haemaus (BD)

  After selected wine tasting, visit Franschoek, know for its strong French-Huge-not history.
  
  Explore the town on your own while indulging in some chocolate tasting before travelling to Haemanus, famous for its shore based whale watching (June to September).
  
  Your hotel is situated on the cliff above the ocean and walk across the road allows for some lovely views of the Atlantic.
  
  Overnight stay at the Auberge Burgundy.

• Day 4 : Oudtshoorn - Cape Town (B)

  Travel past the Huis River and Traouw Mountain Passes to the charming town of the Swellendam, and then into the apple orchirds in and around Grabouw.
  
  Arrive in Cape Town late this afternoon. (Drop offs at City Hotels or Cape Town International Airport).
  
  Reverse departures begin in Cape Town and end in Port Elizabeth, with drop offs at city hotels or Port Elizabeth Airport.

• Day 5 : Stellenbosch - Haemaus(BD)

  After a relaxed breakfast, leave Hermanus and travel along the coast through holiday towns and villages such as Betts Bay, Pringle Bay and then via Gordons Bay and the N2 Freeway all the way to Cape Town, arriving this afternoon.
