Package Overview

Enjoy the beautiful Colorado Rockies at the height of summer with a guided motorcycle tour. Historic mining towns, Great Sand Dunes National Park, alpine meadows, 14,000 foot peaks and The Alpine Backcountry Byway await you on this guided motorcycle tour.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive

  Get picked up at the airport and spend the night at Table Mountain Inn in downtown Golden, Colorado.
  Enjoy dinner in downtown Golden and meet the rest of your riding partners.
• Day 2 : Golden to Salida

  Pick up our motorcycles, stow your excess gear, and let’s head up scenic Clear Creek Canyon before picking up I-70 for Georgetown, CO. Ascend to 12,200 feet over Guanella Pass and drop down to Hwy 285 for a quick trip over Kenosha Pass. Finally let’s pick up some dirt as we proceed behind the Lost Creek Mountains and down Forest Service roads. One stream crossing and several antelope later we will drop 4,000 feet down into beautiful Salida, CO. Enjoy watching the kayakers playing on the Arkansas River.
• Day 3 : Salida to Crested Butte

  Depart Salida on Hwy 50 for 15 miles of pavement before ascending Marshall Pass via the Poncha Springs route and descending to Sargent. We then ride the appropriately named Black Sage Pass followed by Wuanita Pass and Cumberland Pass before heading thru Taylor Park and over to famous Crested Butte, CO and a stay at the Nordic Lodge
• Day 4 : Crested Butte to Ouray

  Depart Crested Butte and immediately ascend Kebbler and Ohio Passes via Washington Gulch. Descend Ohio Pass and follow beautiful Ohio Creek into Gunnison. Hit the blacktop of Hwy 114 and then over Los Pino Pass. Continue on to Cinnamon Pass or Engineer Pass and drop in to Silverton where we will stay at the historic Teller House or Wyman Hotel.
• Day 5 : Ouray to Telluride

  Enjoy hiking in Ouray prior to a leisurely ride over magnificent Ophir Pass. Taking our time and a lot of pictures, then have a relaxing afternoon in scenic and historic Telluride.
• Day 6 : Telluride to Creede

  Spend a day on the famous Alpine Backcountry Byway riding back over Ophir Pass, then Cinnamon Pass. Stay at the historic Creede Hotel.
• Day 7 : Creede to Westcliff

  Some fun hard top as we follow Hwy 149, the Silver Thread Scenic Byway down to Hwy 160 and over to the San Louis Valley. One of the oldest settled areas in the United States. Our destination is Great Sand Dunes National Park and you can see the dunes from 80 miles away on the west side of the San Louis Valley. We will have time to explore the dunes before we head over Hermit Pass to Westcliff.
• Day 8 : Westcliff to Golden

  The last day of our guided motorcycle tour will take us up little used back roads to Cotopaxi where we will cross the Arkansas River and up Bernard Creek. Back roads will take us to Hwy 285 which we will take in Golden, Colorado. We will spend the night back where it all started, at the Table Mountain Inn.
