Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve (380 kms – Approx 6-7 hrs drive)

  Arrival at JKIA where you will be met by our safari guide.
  After briefing depart for Samburu National Park. Enjoy a leisurely transfer as you pass pineapple, coffee and tea plantations arriving in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Deep in Kenya’s arid north-lands is the “Born Free” Country. This was the location for popular TV show Survivor Africa and numerous world acclaimed films such as “to walk with lions, Born Free, Out of Africa and the great crocodile Trial.
  Samburu is also famous for its rare northern species such as Grevy zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx and Gerenuk among others.
  After lunch spend the early afternoon at leisure and enjoy a late afternoon game drive in search of wildlife.

• Day 2 : Samburu game Reserve

  Early morning tea or coffee and depart for a game drive in search of wildlife. Return to the lodge and spend the day at leisure.
  Afternoon game drives at 1600 hrs.
  In the evening local Samburu dancers entertain you in age-old tunes that bring you close to adventure in Africa (not a guarantee as this is organized by the lodge)
  Dinner and overnight at the tented lodge (B/L/D)

• Day 3 : Reserva Samburu – Lake Nakuru (appoximately 3710 kms – 6 hrs drive)

  After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park via Nyahururu for a brief stop over at Thomson Falls. Lunch will be at Panari Resort, later drive to Lake Nakuru for game drives checking in at your lodge for dinner.
  Situated at the heart of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park is home to one of the most amazing orthinological spectacles in the world – the flight of the flamingoes! Besides this, the park has over 450 species of birds – a heaven for avid bird watchers. It is also a sanctuary the great –endangered black Rhino and abounds with other game such as buffalos, lions and the elusive leopard.

• Day 4 : Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve: (Approximately 265kms – 06. hrs)

  Depart after breakfast further south in the Great Rift valley to Masai Mara. This is a vast area of grassy plains converging by the meandering Mara river. It is an African Gem and an area rich in culture, tradition, beauty and home to the big five.
  It is here that one of the most spectacular phenomena of natural world take place – The great annual wildebeests migration, an occurrence that has been named as one of the seven wonders of the world by a jury of experts polled by ABC TV of the USA.
  The great migration involves an estimated 1.3 million wildebeests, 200,000 zebras and a multitude of gazelles escorted by a good number of carnivores.
  You might witness this part of the action which takes place between July and October.
  Afternoon game drives at 1600 hrs.

• Day 5 : Maasai Mara National Reserve

  After breakfast depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full day game drives to the Mara river where hippos and crocodiles reside.
  Explore the vast plains of Mara
  Return to the camp/lodge late afternoon

• Day 6 : Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi

  Morning breakfast and depart for Nairobi. Enjoy a leisurely drive with a brief stopover at the view point to marvel at the scenic beauty of the great Rift Valley.
  Arrive for lunch at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant to experience game meat and barbecue meat.
  After a sumptuous meal, transfer to JKIA for your flight out. (B/L)
