Day 1 : Arrival Delhi
Arrive Delhi and meet the representative at the arrival hall and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi - Amritsar (By train)
Morning proceed for sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. On your visit to Old Delhi, we will take you to the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Rajghat. Afternoon transfer to the railway station to board train for Amritsar. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 : Amritsar
Today you enjoy a sightseeing tour of Amritsar. AMRITSAR, the name of the city derives from the name of the pool around the Golden Temple (aka Harmandir Sahib) and means "holy pool of nectar". It is the spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion, and they are rightfully very proud of the city and their very beautiful and unique Gurdwara (place of worship). The Golden Temple was initiated by Guru Ramdas Ji, the fourth Sikh Guru, and completed in 1601 by his successor Guru Arjan Dev Ji. It is now a major pilgrimage and tourism center.
After your visit to this exotic complex, you will proceed for Jallianwala Bagh & Mata Temple. Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) is a short 5-minute walk from the Golden Temple, and is the site of the 1919 Amritsar massacre. You will also visit the Summer Palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Afternoon visit to Wagha border - It’s a border town straddling the line between Pakistan and India, 29 km from the town of Lahore on the Pakistani side and 28 km from Amritsar on the Indian side. This is the only crossing point between Pakistan and India that is regularly open to foreigners.
Evening return to the hotel for relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Amritsar - Dalhousie
After breakfast depart by surface to Dalhousie (200kms / 5-6 hrs approx). A picturesque and popular hill station, Dalhousie was set up in 1854, as a retreat for the British soldiers and bureaucrats. Located atop the five hills of Kathalagh, Potreyn,Terah,Bakrota and Bhangora, it was named after the British Viceroy Lord Dalhousie. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and situated on the western side of the mountainous ranges of Dhauladhar, it is known not only for its captivating beauty, but also for the ancient temples, the valleys of Chamba and Pangi which are great trekking grounds.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel for check-in. Explore the Hill Station on your own and enjoy the natural beauty. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Dalhousie
Morning drive to Khajjiar, approx an hour drive through dense forest area will take you to Khajjiar. This is a small town located in the beautiful Chamba Valley. It lies midway between Dalhousie and Chamba and is a perfect stopover for the tourists willing to visit the state of Himachal Pradesh. Fenced by the tall Deodar trees, Khajjiar is nestled well in the laps of Himalayas. Khajjiar is famous for the ancient, 12th century, golden-domed temple of Khajinag. Other attractions are The Lake in the rolling green turf is a small lake. Return back to the hotel in the evening.
Day 6 : Dalhousie - Dharamshala
Morning drive to Dharamshala (approx on 150kms / 4hours). Upon arrival transfer to the hotel for check-in. Rest of the day free for individual activities or relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 : Dharamshala
Dharamsala is better known as Dalai Lama's abode and Tibet's Government-in-exile after the Chinese invasion of Lhasa in October 1959. A visit to Dharamshala would be considered irrelevant without a peek into the various monasteries dotting the hillsides. The Kangra Art Museum is located south of Lower Dharamshala tourist office. It has miniature paintings from the Kangra School of Art, which prospered in the Kangra. The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, housed in the Central Administration compound at the southern end of McLeod Ganj, has one of the world's most comprehensive collections of original Tibetan manuscripts. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 : Dharamshala
Day free for individual activities or relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Dharamshala - Chandigarh
Morning drive to Chandigarh (approx on 255kms / 5-6 hours). Upon arrival transfer to the hotel for check-in. Afternoon enjoy visit to Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Chandigarh - Rishikesh
Morning drive to Rishikesh (approx on 235kms / 5 hours). Upon arrival transfer to the ashram for check-in. Evening free for yoga activities. Overnight at the Ashram.
Day 11 : Rishikesh
Day free for yoga activities. Overnight at the Ashram.
Day 12 : Rishikesh
After breakfast visit Rishikesh local Site Seeing (Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Temples & Ashram, Parmarth Niketan Ganga Arti). Overnight at the Ashram.
Day 13 : Rishikesh - Delhi (By Surface) - Varanasi (Night train)
Morning drive to Delhi Railway Station (approx on 240kms / 5 hours) to board evening train for Varanasi. Overnight on the board.
Day 14 : Varanasi
Early morning arrival in Varanasi and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Post breakfast proceed for a panoramic city sightseeing tour of Varanasi including tour to Sarnath, the site of Lord Buddha's first sermon after attaining enlightenment. At Sarnath we meet many Buddhist monks and followers before visiting local homes to see in-home silk weaving and soak up some local customs, culture and hospitality. Evening witness Aarti ceremony at ghats. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 : Varanasi - Delhi (Night train)
Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges. Rest of the day free for individual activities. In evening departure to railway station to board train for Delhi. Overnight on the board.
Day 16 : Delhi
In the morning arrival at Delhi Railway Station transfers to the hotel for wash & change. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of New Delhi including drive through the prestigious streets of the Diplomatic Enclave and then on to India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's House) and Humayun’s Tomb. Finally your tour ends after visiting the Qutub Minar. Evening free for individual activities.
Late night departure to International airport to connect your flight for onward destination.
